Last night, Covenant House received a Rising STARS Award from the Crispus Attucks Association, awarded to those having an impact on youth in York.

"Let this be a reminder to take a moment and be proud of the mission we stand for, what we are doing, and most of all, be proud of the kids who are the ones overcoming all of the odds," noted Sarah Jeffery, Director of Programs, Covenant House - York.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support us last night at the candlelight vigil and Sleep Out! This was the coldest one yet in all of Covenant House Pennsylvania's Sleep Out history!

An incredible performance by York College's wind ensemble at their concert this week. Congratulations Jesse, we are so proud of you!

A big thanks to Garry who has committed to volunteering weekly to teach the young people at Covenant House how to bake! Today was his first day and while he was packing up his equipment, Garry was reflecting with a few staff. He said that the kids really surprised him. When we asked why, he said "they all seem so happy."

Covenant House is more than a shelter. It is our mission to treat every single young person with absolute respect and unconditional love. We believe that both of these ingredients are necessary to foster growth and ultimately lead our kids to be independent young adults.

Thanks again Garry! Can't wait for the sweets you whip up next week!

Thanks to UPS Freight for taking our young people for a tour and sharing insight on job opportunities and tips for interviews. We had a blast!

We had an awesome time yesterday with this crew giving some TLC to the courtyard and garden at Covenant House. Zach, Ashley, Ryan, Robert, Travis, Matthew, and everyone else who has put their time and sweat into making sure our young people have fresh and healthy food, you all rock, thank you. 🙌🌱🌻
