Nine years ago we took a leap of faith and asked our friends & family to help us reimagine a neglected restaurant on Old Woman Springs Rd. in Flamingo Heights. We went door-to-door asking local businesses and neighbors what they would like to see here. An event space with private catering was the worst idea to everyone, but a daytime restaurant was #1. Recently, we were called ANTI-OUTSIDERS 😳 for voicing our opinion on the latest proposed development, this time directly next door to La Copine. There is another one CURRENTLY next door to the Integratron! If you re read the 2019 NYTimes review of La Copine there is a line at the end that has become our motto… “Every restaurant can be an instrument of persuasion, and La Copine isn’t just a destination for late lunch in the desert. It’s a model for outsiders putting down roots in the places where they find beauty, changing and complicating a community as they become an essential part of it.” by 💘

When comes to your restaurant and you didn’t know 💘😭 We are HUGE FANS of since we lived in LA. Especially during the pandemmy… Evan coined the phrase “hard pants” when she recommended you get dressed (plus 💄) even if just to cook. We loved hearing La Copine getting hollered at.
