TPR's 2014 Off-road Points Series Final Results

Hey Racers, it's been a great successful 2014 season.

We would like to invite everyone to join us at the end of season party to announce our award winners for the Off-Road Points Season and to celebrate an Awesome Inaugural Oval racing season at Taylor Park RC Raceway.

The party is Friday Nov 14th at 7:30pm at Pizza Hut in Yukon off of Garth Brooks Blvd in front of Lowe's.

We encourage EVERYONE Oval and Off-Road alike to attend this event

In 2009, the Oklahoma Nitro Club was designed to promote RC racing in Oklahoma and in the beginning was focused only on Off-Road racing. The club is the non-profit club that operates and manages the tracks at TPR. The Oval bug is strong in Oklahoma and we are proud to welcome our Oval racing RC buddies to the club.

The racing venue was named Taylor Park RC Raceway some time ago to include the up and coming and now dominate ELECTRIC racers. The heart and soul of the Oklahoma Nitro Club or ONC was created by a small group of off-road nitro racers that simply needed a place to race and to have input on the way things happened at their home track.

So, the time has come again to open up the floor for nominations and votes by the members for the Oklahoma Nitro Club Officer positions. We are always thankful for the achievements attained in the past and of course, excited about the possibilities of the future.

In order to have a vote, you need to be a paid member of the ONC. The CURRENT 2014 paid membership that have joined this year will be eligible to vote. This night will also be a MEMBERSHIP DRIVE in hopes to raise funds for the club to purchase it's own insurance policy and finally break away from the R.O.A.R. requirement for insurance purposes.
From this point forward...

ONC Annual Memberships will be $25.00/year....members will have much to decide about the race discounts etc. going forward collectively...as a club

ANY PAID MEMBER that signs up as a new 2015 ONC Member for the new rate of 25.00 at the party will also be eligible to vote for any club vote, including new club officers, the same night of the party.

As always, the ONC will pay for the first 5 pizzas of the night and we look forward to seeing everyone at the party!

TPR is CLOSED this weekend to allow full parking for the bmx Gold Cup race this weekend. Most of Taylor Park will be the pit area for the bmx guys. See everyone next weekend.

Since we are closed oval guys need to go to Lawton RC Raceway friday for their Relay for Life benefit race. This is a cancer benefit race and one of own racers is fighting this battle now. Come out and show your support for Dwayne and all other cancer patients. It's going to be a great event.

We had an awesome Oklahoma Shootout yesterday. The track was good and we had some great racing in every class. We want to thank everyone for coming out and making this race a success.

We are going to have a new fresh layout set in place to makes this an awesome race. It will be on an even playing field for locals and out of towners alike.

We will have a 50/50 raffle to split with the lucky ticket holder and raise money towards covered driver's stand.

Going to be an great race on a great new layout. Come on out.

A large group of TPR guys are going to invade Lawton RC Raceway for a little racing this weekend. Going to have fun and support racing in our region.

There can be off-road practice Saturday if people would like, just let us know.

For the off-road we will work the track saturday afternoon and if enough show we will have a race at 5. I can't do the track work by myself so any help would be appreciated.

The off-road points race is postponed until 8/2 at 5pm. The track is too wet to get together along with the pits. We will see everyone at the next race

Club race saturday at 5 on the off-road with a new layout. Some volunteers did a pipe change making the track that much better. They did an awesome job. Come out and race.

If the track didn't get too much rain this morning we will have Tuesday night practice for both oval and off-road. This weekend isn't looking good, so hopefully we can run tomorrow evening. I will go check the track out tonight and let everyone know if tuesday is a go. See you at the track.

Friday Night Under the Lights Oval race this friday. Races start at 7:30 track will be open at 5:30.

Off-road club race this Saturday races start at 2:00 track will be open at 11:00. We are changing the start times starting next week to 5:00pm for both club and points races. See you this Saturday for 2pm start time.

We had a great weekend of racing at TPR. Thanks to everyone for coming out and making it a success.

We had a good turnout for Friday Night Under the Lights Oval Race. The track was is good condition even with fighting the high winds. We had a couple of big classes that had some really great racing. We also had some kids come out for the kids class and showed some good racing. Oval racing is getting better and better. Thank you racers!!!

We had a really good turnout Saturday afternoon for our 3rd points race of the year in off-road. We again had a couple large classes that had great racing throughout the day. Track was nice and competition was fierce all day. We finished up early with a pretty smooth program. Thank you to all the racers. The points will be posted soon.
