Our Skipper completed his last flight with the Black Sheep. Thank you Sir for everything you’ve done for the Black Sheep and their families. You were the right man for the job and we wish you the absolute best of luck in the future.

We had the distinct pleasure of awarding Staff Sergeant Hinker the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. Staff Sergeant Hinker exemplified the work ethic and attitude of a Black Sheep. Congratulations are in hand and we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors!

The Black Sheep recently traveled to Alaska to participate in Red Flag Alaska 23-3. The entire evolution was a massive success thanks to all the hard work of the squadron! BBMF!

USO will provide 1 hour of throwing and snacks. You are welcome to bring in dinner or have it delivered to Get Axed. There are drinks for purchase at Get Axed and no outside beverages are allowed.

There is a waiver located on the website please fill it out ahead of time in line. Arrive a little before 6:30pm to get checked-in as it will start right at 6:30pm. This event is for adults only.

VMFA-214 had the amazing opportunity to do a fly over and land at Pappy Boyington Memorial Field in Coeur d’Alene ID. It was an honor to greet the public and show them the legacy of our first ever Commanding Officer. Thanks to everyone who came out!

VMFA-214 completed the F-35B’s first flight from Yuma to Hawaii! The flight was an overall success with aircraft from MAG-13 conducting operations. Thanks to all that supported in this awesome achievement!

This past week, the squadron held a formation to award Marines for their extraordinary efforts. We also established our recent Skullcrushers! Congratulations to the Marines and keep up the amazing work!

It’s been a good run - this may have been the last flight with 214 but you’ll always be a Black Sheep. Thank you to our MAG Commanding Officer for everything you have fought for and done for us. It’s been a privilege to serve with you Sir.

Squadron Beautification. The Marines of VMFA-214 recently painted our hangar to make it feel more like home. They did a phenomenal job giving it the Black Sheep colors!

We had the distinct pleasure of hosting our adopted school, Desert Mesa Elementary, to visit the Black Sheep! These wonderful second graders were shown a day in the life of VMFA-214. The stations included showing them the F-35B, Flight Equipment, Ordnance, Maintenance Control, and even a Plane Captain Demo! You guys are welcome any time!
