Feels good to finally pull 6 wheels of cheese. Rocked my shirt honestly some of the best people I’ve met check them out. Ty always for being the home for my shenanigans and growth. Still a lot more work left to do. Ty for the spot 📸
I've moved across town, been working, nursing a back tweak, every excuse in the book, I've had my rest. Time to get TF back to work.

Btw this was a candid my mom took when we were training together. Love you momma .n.bourbon

Times are a wild right now. Global Pandemic, Murder Hornets, protests and riots. These times make me really think about the reason I came up with the idea for this club in the first place. I wanted to create an atmosphere of open arms, integrity, hardwork, accountability and intensity. Luckily I found a like minded individual within and we came together to try and do just that in founding together.
In times like these I hope people can come together safely, find some peace and heal. Whether it be in the gym, through art, expression ect. What ever it may be. Just remember to be kind, compassionate yet take no s**t. Be there for your fellow man/woman and help this world heal.
Peace Love and Happy Lifting,
@ Yuma, Arizona
Recap:
-Deadlift:
The goal coming in was no less than 500lb to be on track for for a 1400lb total. Missed my 3ed bench so I need to add at least 13lbs to that for goal total.
• DEADLIFT 1: 451lb / 205kg first attempt. Deadlift isn't my best lift but this was the fastest this weight has ever moved for me from start to lock out. Pulled that Bish and moved on ⚪⚪⚪
• DEADLIFT 2: 485lb / 220kg second attempt. Lifetime and Competition PR. Moved way faster than imagined. The appropriate jump needed, happy with it ⚪⚪⚪
• DEADLIFT 3: 516lb / 234kg third attempt, this would have been a milestone deadlift and gotten me to my goal total but once it got to my knees gravity took over. There are some fixes with deadlifts coming this next prep that will make my movements more powerful and efficient. Big thanks to leaders and spotters. No lift, onto the next. 🔴🔴🔴
-Just another shoutout to Coach Asa, Melinda and Jon from , and for getting me ready and welcoming both Shad and Johnny into the family! -2/3 in deadlifts, no red lights in finished lifts, no lift on 3rd. Finished with a 1377lb / 625kg total. Adding almost 100lbs to my total from last meet in october. Big goals coming for April in a drug tested meet in which Johnny and I both look to set some state records. Time to get to work with the help of Coach Yoda and Back to work.
Recap:
-Bench:
The goal coming in was no less than 350lb to be online for for a 1400lb total.
• BENCH 1: 313lb / 142kg first attempt was what I originally thought was conservative but turned out to be the right idea. Again thanks to for keeping my head level. Pushed that Bish and moved on ⚪⚪⚪
• BENCH 2: 332lb / 151kg competition PR. Enough of a jump to set me up for a big 3rd attempt. Pushed that Bish and moved on ⚪⚪⚪
• BENCH 3: 362lb / 164kg Third Attempt I believe. Johnny felt that it was there and so did I, but small ques went out the window and missed it off the chest. Big thanks to leaders and spotters. No lift, onto deadlifts 🔴🔴🔴
-Just another shoutout to Coach Asa, Melinda and Jon from , and for getting me ready and welcoming both Shad and Johnny into the family! -2/3 in Bench, no red lights in finished lifts, no lift on 3rd.
Recap:
-Squats:
The goal coming in was no less than 550lb to be online for for a 1400lb total.
• SQUAT 1: 485lb / 220kg opener was slightly conservative but it started the day off the right way. Buried it and moved on ⚪⚪⚪
• SQUAT 2: 511lb / 232kg second attempt was basically just the next step to get 550lb. Conservative but the right move to keep gas in the tank for rest of the meet, still a Competition and lifetime PR for me. Thank you for keeping my head level and picking my attempts. Best partner/handler/knee wrapper I could as for. Buried it and moved on ⚪⚪⚪ • SQUAT 3: 551lb / 250kg third attempt was exactly where I needed to be. Slightly larger jump compared to 1st to 2and attempt but it was in the bag if I hit depth because there was no way i wasn't standing up with it. Lifetime / Competition PR, BURIED IT and moved on to bench ⚪⚪⚪
-Just another shoutout to Coach Asa, Melinda and Jon from , and for getting me ready and welcoming both Shad and Johnny into the family! -3/3 in squats, no red lights / Can't call yourself and have high squats right?!
Last squat and deadlift session / Locking in openers for the Classic on the 18th.
-
•Squat:
465lb / 211kg - 2x1 (First set shown)
500lb / 227kg - 1x1 •Deadlift:
465 lbs / 211kg 2x1 (2nd set shown)
-
Locked in at a 485lb / 220kg opener for squat and a 451lb /206kg opener for deads. As the jedi master himself said, these last few weeks have f***ing kicked my ass. But doing my due diligence and hitting what I needed to and the recovery for my shoulder has me feeling great at this point. Still have bench opener to set but that has been the lift that's felt the most consistent and might even hit my goal weight with the second attempt. Either way the work is almost done and that means it's almost party time!
-
Good luck to all other competitors and I cant wait to see the men and women of put on a show! Not to mention the GREAT meets that they and put on. Regardless of my lifts go this weekend in PHX will be great!
-
More comparable videos. This time for bench.
-
Just under a month ago, 275lb x 5 for working sets felt light / this week 330lb x 2 for working sets also feeling solid af. Finishing with singles to a 2 board 350lb x 1 (first time benching to boards of you couldn't tell) bench is feeling as powerful as ever even with shoulder issues.
-
An overachieving bench might help make up for a some what conservative squat. We will see. 350lb bench is the goal but it's looking like I'll have a few more.
-
So there hasn't been much posting from this prep. It's been a rough one. Mentalliy, physically, emotionally or what ever it may be I'm not at 100%. Thing is I feel stronger than I ever have but finishing training sessions has been damn near impossible. But that being said progression is still there.
-
-
Anyways what I'll be doing is giving some comparable video a few weeks apart to show progression.
-
Squats first where almost a month before 430lb x 4 reps felt like it would crush me / 455lb x 3 for a 30lb 3RM PR and it felt easy. But that being said I for the second squat session I wasnt able to get even one of the called for 3x1s. Purely gassed and in pain (nagging shoulder/arm) and calling it a day. As you can see in the last two videos, 500lbs feels like it's glued to the rack and shoulder gets sharp pains. Whether it be a mental block or whatever I need go get over it by next week.

GUYS!!!!! NEW PR!!!! 1 rep max of 450 lbs! BELTLESS!!! This is a HUGE accomplishment for me and I’m so excited to see my hard work pay off! A lot of people have helped me with my form but a special thanks to for always keeping it real and never sugar coating s**t! It’s obviously paid off! I barely started lifting and getting into my fitness again at the end of September this year! Before that I hadn’t deadlifted since 2016!!! I’ve come SO FAR in such a short time! I seriously can’t wait to see where I’m at 6 months from now! Just goes to show you that when you put in the work and the time, results will come! Thank you to all who have supported me during this journey! More to come!!! 💪🏻
