Only 4 days until Desert Rhythms an Evening of Middle Eastern Dance, featuring local dancers, award winning dancers from Phoenix and Tucson and our amazing headliner DeVilla of LA. This is the only Bellydance showcase of its kind in Yuma and a can’t miss show! Tickets are available at the door and online.

DeVilla is a prolific and multi-award winning Middle Eastern dancer based in Los Angeles, known for her polished and dramatic stage presentations. She has studied dance extensively since childhood; including the Ahla Wa Sahlan Dance Festival in Cairo to learn from Egyptian greats such as Raqia Hassan, Dr. Mo Geddawi, Rhanda Kamel, Momo Kadous, and Diana. She has also trained with renowned dancers in America such as Zahra Zuhair, Helena Vlahos, Kamala Almanzar, Fahtiem, Jillina, Ansuya, and Sadie.

Meet our MC for the night!! Michael Bustamante is a vibrant new addition to our community, bringing with him a wealth of experience from his many years working with the Association of REALTORS in Albuquerque, NM and St. Augustine, FL. Michael is excited to establish roots in this area and contribute to its growth.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys a great cup of coffee and singing Karaoke! Because he is a natural on stage, he has graciously agreed to be our MC for the 2024 Desert Rhythms Showcase.

These ladies are the heart and soul of Yuma Bellydance! Their energy, smiles, laughter and dedication light up the studio with every class! I’m so proud of their hard work over the summer learning choreography and technique and I can’t wait to see them shine on the stage like the HipStars they are! 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

Banat Tabla is a local Yuma troupe who can be seen at a variety of local events such as Art in the Park, Relay for Life, and of course the event they are best known for the Two Rivers Renaissance Faire! 💖💖💖

The Yalla Tucson collective features performers from Bonnie‘s advanced class at Yalla Tucson Academy in Tucson, Arizona. These beautiful and talented dancers each bring their own unique personalities to tonight’s performance, which is highly influenced by Nada El Masyira and Ashlalea of Las Vegas.
This will be their first time performing in our show and we are so excited to have them join us!!!
