Hiiiii, I am Laura, the owner of Laura The Waxer LLC, a professional vageen (va-jeen) waxer of seven years. ✨

My Instagram has changed a lot over the past few years but it is still the same me behind it all. 🫶🏼

- I am a Libra and very true to it. I’m very extroverted, creative, & love anything that catches beauty to the eye. 💓

- I’m currently 28 years old and a first-generation Mexican American.

- I speak English/Spanish both fluently. 🇲🇽

- I’m a Licensed Esthetician, Certified Makeup Artist, and I specialize in waxing mainly brazilians on women. 🪄

- I studied Journalism and Broadcasting for over a year here at AWC before I moved to Phoenix, Az to go to Esthetician School. 📚

- I am a self-taught makeup artist, my first love for the makeup world started in 2015 when “insta brows” was a thing. IFYKYK! 🤪

- I’ve been a Licensed Esthetician for seven years now and have enjoyed all paths in the beauty industry. 🫶🏼

- I love thrifting, eating ice cream, small road trips, concerts, romanticizing life as much as I can. 🎀

- I listen to pretty much any music genre, especially Mexican music like corridos/banda, country, & hip hop.🎵

- I found love 4 years ago and he’s the person I want to marry, I met the most sweetest & supportive man ever. 💘

- When I’m at home relaxing, you can catch me binging TV series or watching my favorite movies. Film is still very much in my heart although I never finished my degree. 🎥

- A cup of coffee warms my soul. I love coffee so-much! ☕️

- Small acts of kindness mean a lot to me, I absolutely love other kind humans. 🥹

- I am an open book, I love meeting new people and making new friendships. 💓

Three years ago today, I opened the doors to my small waxing studio. Although I was terrified of failing, I kept going and never gave up. It has been filled with lots of learning, stress, and struggle but I would not change a thing. I’m so happy I found the courage to go after my dreams and create employment for myself.

Thank you to all of my incredible clients for another successful year and especially those who have been with me since way before owning my own studio. y’all continue to come back to me and support me! I love all of my girlies + the ones that are waiting to be my client in the future! 🥹

Waxing season is here and in order to keep gorgeous glossy skin, let’s talk 𝙥𝙤𝙨𝙩-𝙬𝙖𝙭 𝙘𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙩𝙞𝙥𝙨 ✨

• Keep your waxed skin clean, no touching or scratching
• Wear clean, loose clothing/underwear to avoid friction
• Avoid s*x or exercising for at-least 24 hours after treatment
• No hot showers or baths (use cool lukewarm water) to prevent irritation
• No hot tubs, saunas, pools, oceans, lakes, or rivers (screams bacteria)
• Wait 48 hours to start exfoliating the waxed area
• Exfoliate 3x a week + moisturize daily
• Sunbathing or fake tan beds are not allowed after waxing
• Schedule your next wax appointment every 4-6 weeks to stay consistent

Let’s keep up with aftercare products that are only recommended by your waxing licensed professional. 💗

January 2nd, 2021, - I opened a little waxing studio all by myself. I know, TERRIFYING… it takes lots of faith, growth, & challenges. Most importantly, it takes support and love from all your clients. 🫶🏼

Last year, we won 1st place in Yuma’s Best Beauty Services 2021 🥇 a HUGE accomplishment for Laura The Waxer LLC and a HUGE boost of confidence for myself since it was only my first year in business. Becoming an entrepreneur has been quite the roller coaster filled with rewarding highs and lows of doubt and uncertainty… but despite all the chaos, I truly love what I do. I’m motivated and excited about what this next year will bring!!!! ✨

This past year alone not been easy, it has been filled with lots of learning, stress, and struggle but I would not change a thing.
Running a successful business puts a lot of personal strain on our lives. I have some days filled with anxiety, tired long nights, back pain, and the list goes on but overall, I’ve had way more proud moments than hard ones and thats what keeps me going stronger… oh and of course, lots of coffee!!! 😩😂

I can proudly say that I am a fully booked salon owner and doing business my way is something I never imagined I would one day be able to do. I’m so happy I found the courage to go after my dreams. Laura The Waxer LLC is going to continue to strive, mark my words. 👏🏼

Make sure to follow up on your after care! Everyone’s skin needs are different but the most common exfoliation methods are physical exfoliation. Such as: SCRUBS, EXFOLIATING MITTS, EXFOLIATING BRUSHES & so many more. You could even try chemical exfoliation, which some people also agree works for them. Don’t knock out products till you try them and see what works best for your skin. ✨✨
