In 1836 New Orleans, a slave auction sets the stage for a supernatural encounter. Alma, a rebellious slave, escapes his cruel master, Thomas Calhoun, at the auction. Simultaneously, Rosette, a house slave yearning for freedom, flees her plantation. Both are pursued and find themselves drawn to a mysterious light in the woods. The light transports them to 2020, where they collide on a college campus. This collision sparks a chain of events that will forever alter their lives and the lives of those around them. As they navigate this new world, they encounter individuals both helpful and hostile, including Professor Meyers, who offers them shelter, and Chancellor Jackson, who harbors suspicions about their sudden appearance. Meanwhile, in 1836, the slave owners and a voodoo woman named Oneida sense a shift in the world, aware that the collision has ignited a powerful force. Divine Intervention.
