Last Saturday, July 13th, 2024 marked the Inaugural Indy Festival. Indy Fest was made to celebrate individuals in media and performing arts and this year our focus was honoring the young filmmakers around East Baton Rouge Parish!

I am humbled by both the turnout and the reviews for this event and I look forward to many more years of continued success with each and every one of you as we continue to reimagine our parks and programs!

Reflecting on the growth of this program over the past four years fills me with immense joy. Our mission to provide new opportunities for our youth is realized with every session, and it's incredibly rewarding to witness.

Had the pleasure of sharing my passions with the next generation yesterday! The event was amazing and the students were inquisitive and passionate to learn more about Media Arts. Thanks EBR Schools, and EBR Fine Arts for allowing me the opportunity to share what we are doing at BREC's Independence Park Theatre Film Education Program!
