The fourth installment of our NOTHING BUT THE BLOOD series was such a powerful reminder that the blood sacrificed on the cross is the price Jesus paid to make us His family, His sons and daughters, His bride the Church! As we go through this first week of September, remember that church is not a place you go, but a spiritual family you belong to and do life with here on earth, then will get to spend forever with on the other side of eternity! 🙌

Going into the long weekend full of gratitude for the blood of Jesus that speaks a better word of your life, my life, our lives! 🙌❤️

But when God our Savior revealed His kindness and love, He saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of His mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. Because of His grace He made us right in His sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life. // Titus 3:4-7

HOPE was in the house this past Sunday at Apostolic Church! ⚓️😭🙌 We concluded our 21 Days of Prayer + Fasting with a powerful time of worshipping Jesus, hearing God’s Word as Pastor expounded on hope, prayer over one another’s needs, and community TOGETHER 💙

DAY 20 // “Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” James 5:16

This weekend, our biannual 21 Days of Prayer + Fasting concludes. There’s something special that happens when God’s people move together in unity, covering one another in prayer, and here at AC that’s something we do at our weekly corporate encounters with the Lord. The abundant love of God fills us to the overflow, leading us to bear one another’s burdens and uplift each other in prayer. God takes the many and makes His Church ONE! So let’s end this time the best way possible by gathering tomorrow at Sunday service as we always do where we’ll encourage one another + pray together as we worship Jesus + hear His Word proclaimed, full of faith for His Spirit to meet us! 🙌

DAY 18 // “If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

The prayers of humble hearts capture the attention of Heaven! The sacrifices God most desires are not loud or flashy—He’s looking for a spirit that is broken, tamed, submitted to His Spirit, for a repentant heart in a perpetual posture of repentance and humility.

Understand the difference, though—our Jesus is not looking for condemnation, but for contrition. Condemnation only produces pain, leaving us unchanged by the Holy Spirit, but true repentance leads to forgiving salvation that produces a life of genuine purity. As we focus in on the Lord during this set-aside season, humbly ask Him to search out your heart and root out any pridefulness that stands as an obstacle between yourself and true freedom in Him! 🙌

DAY 17 // “I am praying not only for these disciples but also for all who will ever believe in me through their message. I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one—as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me. I have given them the glory you gave me, so they may be one as we are one. I am in them and you are in me. May they experience such perfect unity that the world will know that you sent me and that you love them as much as you love me.” John 17:20-23

One thing that makes God’s Church so very special is that she is—WE are—the answer to prayers prayed by the man Christ Jesus recorded in Scripture. We have the privilege of bearing witness to the truth of the message preached by the Apostles. Sinners transformed by the love of God, united by shared faith in Him, and sent out full of love to those far from Him reflecting the love we’ve received! How beautiful is that?!

21 Days of Prayer + Fasting continues as we unite together once again at MIDWEEK for a night of refreshing, crying out in prayer to our Heavenly Father, worshiping Him in the splendor of His holiness, hearing His Worship proclaimed in the Auditorium + at AC Youth, and experiencing His Presence in our midst 🙌

Stellar VBS was out of this world! 👽🪐🌌🛸 These little astronauts and aliens had a blast dancing, crafting, playing, and praying together as they learned to shine Jesus’ light! 🌟💙 Who’s already looking forward to next year?! 🤩

DAY 16 // “Continue earnestly in prayer, being vigilant in it with thanksgiving…” Colossians 4:2

During these 21 Days of Prayer + Fasting, we believed together for an impactful VBS, and now we’re responding with thankfulness for how He answered and blessed AC Kids! As the Apostle John wrote, there is no greater joy than to hear our children are walking in truth, so as we continue in prayer and fasting, let’s posture our hearts with gratitude and give all the glory to God 🙌

The last shuttle to Stellar VBS is lifting off today at 10:30 AM! 🚀🛸 Everyone is welcome at this family-friendly finale service as we ALL learn to shine Jesus’ light! 🎉

DAY 11 // A broken world needs a praying church 🙏

“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” // Matthew 18:18-20

We are more than a church of people who pray—we are a Praying Church! We unite in devoting ourselves to prayer and believing for God’s will to be done on earth as it is in heaven. Our 21 Days of Prayer + Fasting will be most effective when our unified prayers are coupled with fasting, with the Word demonstrating that God will respond to us in powerful, unique ways in the world around us!
