Unity Fest, the City of Baton Rouge’s free Juneteenth celebration, will be held from 5-8 p.m. in the plaza at the Main Library at Goodwood. Attendees can look forward to live performances by the Michael Foster Project, Universal Language, and DJ A Twice. Additional live performances by Shamira Cummings (Dance), Latoya Sibley (Spoken Word), Joshua White (Live Painting), Quiana Lynell + Rod Jackson (Musical Performance), Xero Skidmore (Spoken Word Poetry), and Tianna Taylor (Dance Performance). Food and drink will also be available at the event.

Kids’ Orchestra invites children, ages 5-11, to an experiential program that combines library books with music education. Each month, children will explore a theme as they learn about an instrument, sing a song, explore a dance, and play a game – all inspired by a book in the East Baton Rouge Parish Library's collection. 🎼 Please call (225) 658-1860 to register.

Masks are no longer required in City-Parish buildings, so we have changed our COVID guidelines to reflect that.
Starting tomorrow, Tuesday, December 28, masks or face coverings are required in all City Parish Buildings (this includes all EBRP Libraries) for anyone 5 years old and above; and recommended for anyone younger as tolerated. We have updated our guidelines to reflect this change.
