Allure of Zion Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living

💜 Most folks aren’t familiar with the Allure Healthcare Services brand, but Allure of Zion is one of 15 campuses in Illinois. Today, we joined our sister communities at our biannual conference for some leadership training, clinical training, survey preparedness training, and sales/marketing and billing break out sessions. In every way, in every department, we are striving to be better leaders, build better teams, and deliver better care for better resident experiences. 💜

🎈🎉 The celebrations continued this week as we hosted an open house and ribbon cutting to mark both our supportive living certification and opening our memory care unit. 🎉🎈

Being supportive living means that we are able to offer assisted living-level care and accept Medicaid as a payor for those services, in addition to just private pay. This means we can provide care for so many more members of our community!

💜 🌻We are the first and currently ONLY supportive living memory care in Lake County. 💜🌻

Thank you to Mayor Billy McKinney, Township Supervisor Cheri Neal, Reverend Broom, members of Allure Healthcare Services leadership, the Lake County Chamber of Commerce, and SO many partners and neighbors for coming out to celebrate with us.

🎉🥳 It has been an amazing week of celebrations here, starting with Ms. Shirley Booth's 90th birthday bash! 🥳🎉. Happy birthday, sweet lady! We hope you know how cherished you are and that you felt honored and celebrated by your many friends and loving family.

🩻 We are already looking forward to hosting the Medical Education for Determined Students (MEDS) group from Grant Community High School District 124 in Fox Lake for a tour and presentation. 🩻

Dementia Live! is an immersive, multi-sensory experience that allows participants to experience what it’s like to be in someone’s body as they move through different phases of dementia. It’s very powerful and creates even more informed, empathetic care providers. 🧠💜

After many months of hard work, our assisted living has earned supportive living certification and is anticipating offering secure memory care! 🎉

What does that mean?

It means that in addition to being able to offer assisted living care to residents who are able to pay privately, we are now able to accept Medicaid for those services. With this change comes new, all-inclusive pricing. We are also excited to be the only supportive living-level memory care in Lake County. ‼️

💜 We have continued to celebrate our incredible CNAs across our campus with breakfasts and dinners sponsored by some fantastic community partners! 💜

Thank you to Suncrest Hospice - Chicago for the donuts, coffee, pizza and sodas, to St. Croix Hospice for the skilled team’s taco bar, and to Martin Ruiz of Eggspress Cafe - Lindenhurst for the delicious breakfast tacos and taco bar for our assisted living team.

The CNAs also participated in a scavenger hunt with some very specific instructions, like

We appreciate how all-in on this they were 🤣, and will be giving the winning team prizes!

On day 2 of CNA Appreciation Week, Zion’s own Mr. Ice Cream Mann brought his truck to our parking lot. We gifted our CNAs with a voucher for anything in his truck and other staff purchased treats with cash or via CashApp.
