Beauty is in the imperfection. Like the natural inclusions and fractures of this quartz.
But going against all the negative misconceptions, I still embrace being a perfectionist.
Whenever we talk about perfectionism, people always view it as a negative thing. As something we have to fight against. As something that holds us back. I don't view it that way.
I see perfectionism as striving to do your best and to hold yourself to a standard that your best will be excellent, not only "good enough". It means putting your best effort in the job and going the extra mile.
We all can stop when the work is good enough, perfectionism is making sure there is nothing more you can do to deliver the best to your ability and striving to push that ability as far as possible.
Of course there is a healthy balance between acceptance and perfectionism,
The imperfections of life are the ones we must embrace. The imperfections that are out of our reach are the ones to accept. But the non deliberate imperfections in your creations are the ones you can influence.
To quote my favorite quote: It's on the path to perfection that we reach excellence.
