Cooperation in Zooarchaeology Studies

The Head of International Research Laboratory "Zoostan", William Rendu visited IICAS headquarters. Zoostan has been recently established under Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the support of CNRS (The French National Centre for Scientific Research).

The main objective of the laboratory is to discover the dynamics of animal life throughout history and understand the relationship between animals and human societies in Central Asia by analyzing the animal remains using high technology devices. Currently, more than 10 archaeological excavations are carried out in the different regions of Cental Asia by Zoostan.

During the meeting, the parties discussed to realize joint projects in the future and to benefit from the services of the laboratory in the archaeological projects of IICAS.

Руководитель Международной исследовательской лаборатории «Зоостан» Уильям Ренду посетил штаб-квартиру МИЦАИ. «Зоостан» был недавно создан при Казахском национальном университете имени аль-Фараби при поддержке CNRS (Национальный центр научных исследований Франции).

Основная цель лаборатории — раскрыть динамику жизни животных на протяжении всей истории и понять взаимосвязь между животными и человеческими обществами в Центральной Азии путем анализа останков животных с использованием высокотехнологичных устройств. В настоящее время «Зоостан» проводит более 10 археологических раскопок в различных регионах Центральной Азии.

В ходе встречи стороны обсудили реализацию совместных проектов в будущем и использование услуг лаборатории в археологических проектах МИЦАИ.

Webinar on Open Science
IICAS participated in the UNESCO Chairs Online Seminar on “Science, Technology and Innovation and Digital Cooperation” which was organized on 5th June 2024. The seminar was held within frame of the 2021 UNESCO Recommendation on Open Science ( (https://unesdoc.unesco.org/ark:/48223/pf0000379949)https://unesdoc.unesco.org/ark:/48223/pf0000379949), (https://unesdoc.unesco.org/ark:/48223/pf0000379949) which calls for openness in engagement with society and dialogue across knowledge systems – with the goal of promoting science as a global public good and creating stronger science systems that are of service to all. Moreover, UNESCO was entrusted as the lead agency by the UN General Assembly in formulating and disseminating a clear vision and dedicated mission for International Decade of Sciences for Sustainable Development (2024-2033). The Sciences Decade was proclaimed at 77th session of the UN General Assembly in August 2023 ( (https://digitallibrary.un.org/record/4019134?ln=ru&v=pdf)https://digitallibrary.un.org/record/4019134?ln=ru&v=pdf). (https://digitallibrary.un.org/record/4019134?ln=ru&v=pdf) The resolution represents a unique opportunity to mobilize sciences for the common good, to respond to the complex and multidimensional challenges of today’s world. Along with other countries, following IICAS’s Member States were co-sponsors of the respective UN General Assembly resolution: China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan and Türkiye. In this regard it is worth to highlight IICAS’s experiences in free sharing of its scientific publications and digital cooperation in inventory of the objects of tangible, intangible and documentary cultural heritage in Central Asia.

IICAS is preparing a scientific album of the exhibition “Jews of the region in the past and present” of the Samarkand Museum of Local Lore.
The uniqueness of the publication lies in the fact that the exhibition materials are published for the first time. When creating the album, a fragment of the Torah, household items, photographs, documents, clothing and jewelry of Bukharan Jews of Central Asia at the beginning of the 20th century were used.
The album will be ready by the beginning of 2025.
The author of the album is the head of the history department of the Samarkand Regional Museum of Local History, Olga Anvarovna Fataeva.
The exhibition “Jews of the region in the past and present” was created in 2008 on the basis of material originals collected by I.S. Lurie in Samarkand in the 1920s.

МИЦАИ готовит научный альбом к экспозиции «Евреи края в прошлом и настоящем» Самаркандского краеведческого музея
Уникальность публикации состоит в том, что материалы экспозиции публикуются впервые. При создании альбома были использованы фрагмент Торы, предметы быта, фотографии, документы, одежда и ювелирные украшения бухарских евреев Центральной Азии в начале ХХ века.
Альбом будет готовь к 2025 года.
Автором альбома выступает заведующая отделом истории Самаркандского областного краеведческого музея Фатаева Ольга Анваровна.
Экспозиции «Евреи края в прошлом и настоящем» была создана в 2008 году на базе вещественных подлинников собранных И.С. Лурье в Самарканде в 1920-е годы.

On May 24, 2024, a meeting was held between the Director of the International Institute of Central Asian Studies and the Director of the National Historical, Cultural and Natural Reserve-Museum “Ulytau” of the Committee of Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. A. Kuzerbaev. Mr. Evren Rutbil presented information on the activities of IICAS, history and management structure of the institute, and also noted the historical and cultural significance of the museum-reserve for the entire Central Asian region. During the meeting, the parties discussed possible areas of joint activity. At the end of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed.

24 мая 2024 года состоялась встреча директора Международного института центральноазиатских исследований с директором Национального историко-культурного и природного музея-заповедника «Улытау» Комитета культуры Министерства культуры и информации Республики Казахстан, господином Кузербаевым А. Г-н Эврен Рутбиль представил информацию о деятельности МИЦАИ, о истории и структуре управления института, а также отметил историко-культурную значимость музея-заповедника для всего центральноазиатского региона. В ходе встречи стороны обсудили возможные направления совместной деятельности. В завершении встречи был подписан Меморандум о сотрудничестве.

On May 22, 2024, the Director of IICAS, Mr. Evren Rutbil, visited the Italian-Uzbek archaeological expedition to the Kafirkala settlement, Samarkand region. Together with the head of the expedition, Prof. Simone Mantellini, he discussed the cooperation of IICAS with the University of Bologna on the study, conservation and promotion of this archaeological site, which is a component part of the Silk Road: Zarafshan-Karakum Corridor World Heritage property. The cooperation between the institutions is carried out on the basis of a memorandum within the framework of two projects aimed at creating the Kafirkala Archaeological Park.

22 мая 2024 года директор МИЦАИ г-н Эврен Рутбиль посетил итальянско-узбекскую археологическую экспедицию на городище Кафиркала, Самаркандская область. Вместе с руководителем экспедиции, проф. Симоне Мантеллини, он обсудил сотрудничество МИЦАИ с Университетом Болоньи по изучению, сохранению и популяризации данного археологического памятника, входящего в состав объекта всемирного наследия «Шелковый путь: Зарафшан-Каракумский коридор». Сотрудничество между учреждениями осуществляется на основе меморандума в рамках двух проектов, нацеленных на создание археологического парка «Кафиркала».

A delegation consisting of Prof. Soumyen Bandyopadhyay, Prof. Georgina Endfield and Prof. Robert Blackwood from University of Liverpool paid a visit to IICAS headquarters in Samarkand.
During the meeting with the delegation, Director of IICAS Mr. Evren Rutbil gave information about the activities and publications of IICAS.
Prof. Soumyen Bandyopadhyay gave a presentation about the heritage studies carried out by the University and newly constituted Heritage Institute under the University of Liverpool.
After discussing collaboration prospects in heritage studies in Central Asia, a Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between IICAS and University of Liverpool.

Во время встречи с делегацией директор МИЦАИ господин Эврен Рутбиль предоставил информацию о деятельности и публикациях МИЦАИ.
Профессор Соумьен Бандьопадхьяй представил презентацию о научном изучении наследия, проводимом университетом, и информацию о недавно созданном Институте наследия при Университете Ливерпуля.
После обсуждения перспектив сотрудничества в области изучения наследия в Центральной Азии было подписано Соглашение о взаимопонимании между МИЦАИ и Университетом Ливерпуля.

On May 15, 2024, an official meeting took place at the premises of the International Institute of Central Asian Studies (IICAS) with His Excellency the Ambassador of the United States of America to the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. Jonathan Henick. Public Diplomacy Officer Harris Lipscomb and Economic Affairs Officer Kevin Roberts also participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, the director of IICAS, Mr. Evren Rutbil, provided detailed information about the history, management structure, and main areas of activity of the Institute. The most important ongoing research projects and recent achievements were highlighted.
Later, Mr. Alim Fayzulaev and Mr. Farukh Khabibullaev gave information about the progress and preliminary results of the conservation project of the Khalif Erezhep mausoleum (Mizdahkan settlement) and capacity building in the field of conservation in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, implemented with the support of the US Embassy in Uzbekistan under the Ambassador's Fund for Cultural Preservation program.
Finally, the prospects for cooperation in the field of preservation and promotion of historical and cultural heritage in the Republic of Uzbekistan and in the Central Asian region were discussed.

15.05.2024 г. в стенах Международного института центральноазиатских исследований (МИЦАИ) состоялась официальная встреча с Его Превосходительством послом Соединённых Штатов Америки в Республике Узбекистан г-ном Джонатаном Хеником. Во встрече также приняли участие сотрудник по вопросам публичной дипломатии Харрис Липскомб и сотрудник по экономическим вопросам Кевин Робертс.
В ходе мероприятия директор МИЦАИ, г-н Эврен Рутбиль, подробно рассказал об истории создания института, структуре управления и основных направлениях деятельности. Были освещены наиболее важные из реализуемых научно-исследовательских проектов и последние достижения.
Г-н Алим Фейзулаев и г-н Фарух Хабибуллаев в свою очередь осветили ход и предварительные результаты исполнения работ в рамках проекта по консервации мавзолея Халифа Ережеп (городище Миздахкан) и наращиванию потенциала в области консервации в Республике Каракалпакстан, реализуемого при поддержке Посольства США в Республике Узбекистан в рамках программы Фонда посла по охране культурных ценностей.
В заключении встречи, темой обсуждения также стали перспективы сотрудничества в области охраны и продвижения историко-культурного наследия в Республике Узбекистан и центральноазиатском регионе.

The International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) announces that an online workshop will be held via Zoom as part of a research project implemented jointly with the International Center for Documentary Heritage (ICDH) under the auspices of UNESCO on May 14, 2024 (starting at 10:00 Tashkent time, GMT+5).
The workshop aims at involving experts and institutions to discuss the prospects and potential for nominating the documentary heritage of the Republic of Uzbekistan in all its forms in the International and/or Regional Memory of the World (MoW) Register.
During the seminar, a brief presentation will be offered on the UNESCO Memory of the World (MoW) Programme, its goals and objectives and the importance of international efforts to preserve and provide access to unique documents that bear witness to the history of the country and the entire region. Participants will also be shared some current experience in nominating documentary heritage in 2023.
The seminar is open to experts and practitioners in the field of documentary heritage and, in a broader sense, history and culture, as well as anyone interested in the topic.
The language of the workshop is Russian.

Международный институт центральноазиатских исследований (МИЦАИ) сообщает, что 14 мая 2024 г. (начало в 10:00 по Ташкенту, GMT+5) в онлайн формате посредством платформы Zoom состоится семинар в рамках научно-исследовательского проекта, реализуемого совместно с Международным центром документального наследия (ICDH) под эгидой ЮНЕСКО.
Целью семинара является привлечение как можно более широкого круга специалистов и учреждений к обсуждению перспектив и потенциала представления документального наследия Республики Узбекистан во всех его формах в международном и региональном списках программы ЮНЕСКО «Память мира».
В ходе семинара будет сделан короткий информационный доклад о программе ЮНЕСКО «Память мира», ее целях и задачах и о значении международных усилий по сохранению и обеспечению доступа к уникальным документам, являющихся свидетелями страниц истории страны и региона в целом. Участникам будет представлен и актуальный опыт номинирования документального наследия в 2023 г.
Семинар открыт для специалистов в области документального наследия и в более широком смысле истории и культуры, а также всех интересующихся данной темой.

The First Phase of French-Uzbek Joint Archaeological Research Project Has Started in Surkhan-darya.
The two-year research project “Pluridisciplinary research at Kuduk Bulak: a newly revealed Bronze Age and Iron Age site in southern Uzbekistan” which is supported by IICAS and CNRS (Centre national de la recherche scientifique) has started.
The objective of the project is to carry out a comprehensive excavation at Kuduk Bulak site (in Surkhan-darya province) which was discovered in 2022, and to grasp a better understanding of the transition between the Bronze Age Oxus civilization and the Early Iron Age cultures. Kuduk Bulak has several unique characteristics: it is occupied both during the Bronze Age and Early Iron Age, and it belongs to a larger group of Early Iron age settlements who are the known to date attested in a mountainous environment, in an area favorable for the interaction with steppes-related cultures.
The project will adopt a multidisciplinary approach combining expertise in field archaeology, material culture studies, bio-archaeology, and geoarchaeology.
Currently, a team of 10 French and Uzbek archaeologists led by Dr. Johanna Lhuillier and Prof. Shapulat Shaydullaev (Termez National University) is participating in the excavations.

Preliminary results of the project have already been presented during the International conference “The role of the Surkhan Oasis in Human civilization: the foundations of tangible and intangible culture” that was held at Termez National University on 1st of May, 2024. Two papers dedicated to the architecture and the pottery assemblage have been presented respectively by Dr. Johanna Lhuillier and Camille Abric.

В Сурхандарьинской области стартовал первый этап совместного французско-узбекского археологического исследовательского проекта.
Начался двухлетний исследовательский проект «Многодисциплинарные исследования в Кудук Булаке: недавно обнаруженное место бронзового и железного веков на юге Узбекистана», который поддерживается IICAS и CNRS (Национальным центром научных исследований).
Цель проекта — провести комплексные раскопки на стоянке Кудук Булак (в Сурхандарьинской области), открытой в 2022 году, и лучше понять переход между цивилизацией Окса бронзового века и культурами раннего железного века. Кудук Булак имеет несколько уникальных характеристик: он был заселен как в эпоху бронзы, так и в раннем железном веке, и принадлежит к более крупной группе поселений раннего железного века, которые, как известно, на сегодняшний день засвидетельствованы в горной среде, в зоне, благоприятной для взаимодействия со степными культурами.
В проекте будет применен междисциплинарный подход, сочетающий опыт в области полевой археологии, исследований материальной культуры, биоархеологии и геоархеологии.
В настоящее время в раскопках участвует группа из 10 французских и узбекских археологов под руководством доктора Йоханны Люлье и профессора Шапулата Шайдуллаева (Термезский национальный университет).
Предварительные результаты проекта уже были представлены на Международной конференции «Роль Сурханского оазиса в человеческой цивилизации: основы материальной и нематериальной культуры», состоявшейся в Термезском национальном университете 1 мая 2024 года. Два доклада, посвященные архитектуре и сбору керамики, представили доктор Джоанна Люлье и Камилла Абрик.

Международный институт центральноазиатских исследований (МИЦАИ) рад объявить о I (первом) Международном научно-практическом семинаре «Неразрушающие методы в сохранении объектов историко-культурного наследия Центральной Азии», который будет проходить 06-13 октября 2024 года в г. Термез (Республика Узбекистан).

Научная программа Семинара будет организована в рамках Круглых столов по следующим направлениям:
• Применение ядерно-физических методов для исследования объектов культурного наследия;
• Перспективы и возможности развития неразрушающих методов для исследования объектов культурного наследия Центральной Азии;
• Физико-химические исследования в консервации и реставрации объектов историко- культурного наследия Центральной Азии

Также в рамках Семинара будет организована работа практических панелей по направлениям:
• «Основные принципы методики экспериментально-трасологического анализа функций древних орудий труда»
• «Физико-химические исследования в консервации и реставрации археологического материала из металла»
• «Полевая консервация и реставрация археологической монументальной живописи и керамики»,
• «Современные неразрушающие полевые методы в сохранении ОКН: 3D визуализация, анализ и обработка пространственных данных».

The International Institute for Central Asian Studies (IICAS) is pleased to announce the I (First) International Scientific Workshop "Non-destructive methods in the preservation of objects of historical and cultural heritage of Central Asia" to be held on 06-13 October 2024 in Termez, Republic of Uzbekistan.

The scientific program of the Seminar will be organized within the framework of Round tables in the following areas:
• Application of nuclear physics methods for the study of cultural heritage sites;
• Prospects and opportunities for the development of non -destructive methods for the study of cultural heritage sites in Central Asia;
• Physico-chemical research in the conservation and restoration of objects of historical and cultural heritage of Central Asia

Also, within the framework of the Seminar, the work of practical panels in the following areas will be organized:
• "Basic principles of the methodology of experimental tracological analysis of the functions of ancient tools"
• "Physico-chemical research in the conservation and restoration of archaeological metal material"
• "Field conservation and restoration of archaeological monumental paintings and ceramics",
• "Modern non-destructive field methods in the preservation of windows: 3D visualization, analysis and processing of spatial data".

The International Institute of Central Asian Studies (IICAS) announces the completion of work on the publication by R.M. Valeev "TARTARIA on the Great Silk Road".
The monograph is a comprehensive study at the intersection of archaeology, anthropology, economics, history, connecting the Bulgar and Golden Horde Volga-Urals with the Muslim and Chinese East, Northern and Western Europe, the Finno-Ugric North and Russia. The subject of the analysis is the trade of the Bulgars and the Golden Horde merchants and their role on the northern corridors of the Great Silk Road. The evolution of trade, the influence on its development of political processes, urbanization and contacts with the population of the Volga-Ural region, coins and monetary weight systems are examined in detail.
The publication will be of interest to students of history, specialists in the field of archeology and trade of the Middle Ages and to everyone interested in the history of Volga Bulgaria, the Golden Horde and the peoples of Russia.

Международный институт центральноазиатских исследований (МИЦАИ) сообщает о завершении работы над публикацией Р.М. Валеева «TARTARIA на Великом шелковом пути».
Монография представляет собой комплексное исследование, находящееся на стыке археологии, антропологии, экономики, истории, связывающее булгарское и золотоордынское Волго-Уралье с мусульманским и китайским Востоком, Северной и Западной Европой, финно-угорским Севером и Русью. Предметом анализа является торговля булгар и золотоордынских купцов и их роль на северных коридорах Великого Шёлкового пути. Подробно рассматриваются эволюция торговли, влияние на её развитие политических процессов, урбанизации и контактов с населением Волго-Уралья, монетные клады и денежно-весовые системы.
Публикация будет интересна студентам исторических специальностей, специалистам в области археологии и торговли Средневековья и всех интересующихся историей Волжской Булгарии, Золотой Орды и народов России.

On April 26, 2024, the headquarters of the International Institute of Central Asian Studies (IICAS) in Samarkand was visited by a delegation from the United States of America (USA), headed by the Director of the International Center for Law and Religious Studies at Brigham Young University (BYU), winner of an honorary award from the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ms. Elizabeth Clark. The delegation included Mr. Awais Ahmed (Chairman of the Board of the Muslim Civic League of Utah, USA), Mr. Bahman Baktiari (Executive Director of the Baskerville Institute, Utah, USA), Mr. Reza Aslan (Professor, University of California, USA ).
During the meeting, the Director of IICAS, Mr. Evren Rutbil, informed his guests from the USA about the activities and projects of IICAS, and the parties discussed possible areas of cooperation and directions of joint academic activities.

26 апреля 2024 года штаб-квартиру Международного института центральноазиатских исследований (МИЦАИ) в Самарканде посетила делегация из Соединённых Штатов Америки (США), возглавляемая директором Международного центра права и религиозных исследований Университета Бригама Янга (BYU), лауреата почетной награды от президента Республики Узбекистан, госпожой Элизабет Кларк. В составе делегации присутствовали г-н Аваис Ахмед (Председатель правления мусульманской гражданской лиги штата Юта, США), г-н Бахман Бактиари (Исполнительный директор Института Баскервиль, штат Юта, США), г-н Реза Аслан (Профессор, Калифорнийский университет, США).
В ходе встречи директор МИЦАИ г-н Эврен Рутбиль проинформировал коллег из США о деятельности и проектах МИЦАИ, и стороны обсудили возможные области сотрудничества и направления совместной академической деятельности.

On April 20, 2024, at the headquarters of the International Institute of Central Asian Studies (IICAS), a business meeting was held with representatives of French companies: Mr. Guillaume Dubuis, founder of DUALEST S.A.S. Groupe, Ms. Sophie Lanfranchi, Development Director of DUALEST S.A.S. Groupe, Mr. Adrien Charpentier, Head of Global Sales and Marketing of ECA2, Mr. Laurent Gilbaung, Representative of The French Creators, Mr. Cyrille Hugon, Chief Architect and Urban Planner of Phosphoris and Ms. Mounira Sedira, project manager.

During the meeting, Mr. Guillaume Dubuis, who had already visited the IICAS office on May 10, 2023, presented brief information about the organization DUALEST S.A.S. Groupe. Mr. Laurent Gilbaung presented the work of The French Creators (https://en.thefrenchcreators.com/), which specializes in special visual effects using high technology at various sites, exhibitions and world-famous cultural heritage sites to attract large numbers of visitors. ECA2 (https://www.eca2.com/) organizes large-scale events, concerts and theatrical performances at cultural heritage sites. The Phosphoris company (https://www.phosphoris.fr/) is a French design office in the field of energy efficiency and engineering for bioclimatic architecture. Later, Ms. Mounira Sedira presented a presentation on information signs for use in museums, exhibitions, etc. The Director of IICAS shared information about the institute, its history and the significance of its scientific research. During the meeting, opportunities for cooperation and potential areas of cooperation were also discussed.

20 апреля 2024 года в штаб-квартире Международного института центральноазиатских исследований (МИЦАИ) прошла деловая встреча с представителями французских компаний: г-ном Гийомом Дюбюи, основателем DUALEST S.A.S. Groupe, г-жой Софи Ланфранши, директором по развитию DUALEST S.A.S. Groupe, г-ном Адрианом Шарпантье, руководителем отдела глобальных продаж и маркетинга компании ECA2, г-ном Лорентом Гильбаунгом, представителем компании The French Creators, г-ном Сириллом Гюгоном, главным архитектором и градостроителем компании Phosphoris и г-жой Мунирой Седира, менеджером по проектам.

В ходе встречи г-н Гийом Дюбюи, который 10 мая 2023 года уже посещал офис МИЦАИ, представил краткую информацию об организации DUALEST S.A.S. Groupe. Г-н Лорент Гильбаунг презентовал работы компании The French Creators (https://en.thefrenchcreators.com/), специализирующейся на специальных визуальных эффектах с использованием высоких технологий на разных объектах, выставках и всемирно известных объектах культурного наследия для привлечения большого количество посетителей. Компания ECA2 (https://www.eca2.com/) проводит масштабные мероприятия, концерты и театральные выступления на объектах культурного наследия. Компания Phosphoris (https://www.phosphoris.fr/) – французское проектное бюро в области энергоэффективности и инженерии для биоклиматической архитектуры.. В свою очередь г-жа Мунира Седира представила презентацию по информационным табличкам для использования в музеях, выставках и др. Директор МИЦАИ поделился информацией об институте, его истории и значении его научных исследований. В ходе встречи также были обсуждены возможности сотрудничества и потенциальные направления работы.

On the occasion of assumption of the duty as director of IICAS, Mr. Evren Rutbil paid courtesy visits to the diplomatic missions of the following Member States accredited in the Republic of Uzbekistan: Republic of Azerbaijan, People’s Republic of China, Islamic Republic of Iran, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Russian Federation and Republic of Türkiye. Mr. Evren Rutbil was engaged in fruitful discussions with ambassadors on strategies for future directions of cooperation focused on extending scientific networking between IICAS and various academic and cultural institutions of the Member States. During the meetings it was reiterated that IICAS, as international networking institution, will continue to connect the Central Asia with the rest of the world and explore additional methods to engage diverse stakeholders, aiming to enhance and extend joint studies on tangible and intangible cultural as well documentary heritage of the Silk Road. Mr. Evren Rutbil expressed his deepest gratitude for positive attitude of Member States aimed for strengthening of their participation in future IICAS’s activities. Director of IICAS is planning also to visit diplomatic missions of other Member States of the institute in the nearest future.

Визиты директора в посольства государств-участников

По случаю вступления в должность директора МИЦАИ г-н Эврен Рутбиль нанес визиты вежливости дипломатическим представительствам следующих государств-членов, аккредитованных в Республике Узбекистан: Азербайджан, Китайская Народная Республика, Исламская Республика Иран, Исламская Республика Пакистан, Российская Федерация и Турция. Г-н Эврен Рутбиль принял участие в плодотворных дискуссиях с послами о стратегиях будущих направлений сотрудничества, направленных на расширение научных связей МИЦАИ с различными академическими и культурными учреждениями государств-участников. В ходе встреч было подтверждено, что МИЦАИ как международный сетевой институт продолжит связывать Центральную Азию с остальным миром и изучать дополнительные методы привлечения различных заинтересованных сторон, стремясь усилить и расширить совместные исследования по материальному и нематериальному культурному, а также документальному наследию Шелкового пути. Г-н Эврен Рутбиль выразил глубочайшую благодарность за позитивное отношение государств-членов, направленное на усиление их участия в будущей деятельности МИЦАИ. Директор МИЦАИ также планирует в ближайшее время посетить дипломатические миссии других государств-участников института.
