Spring Erasmus+ Week Overview

From May 13-18, 2024, we celebrated Erasmus+ Week, engaging Erasmus+ projects in higher education institutions across Uzbekistan. It was an informative week of collaboration and learning!

The SPHERE Seminar on Universities’ third mission in Samarkand

On May 13-14, 2024, the SPHERE Seminar on "Universities’ Third Mission: Partnering for Social and Economic Development" took place in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. This event brought together Higher Education Reform Experts (HERE) teams and National Erasmus+ Offices (NEOs) from around the world, including 70 experts and representatives from 21 countries. Additionally, HE Ms. Charlotte Adriaen, Ambassador of the European Union to Uzbekistan, and Ms. Erica Gerretsen, Director for Human Development, Migration, Governance, and Peace at the Directorate-General for International Partnerships, European Commission, also attended the seminar.

The National Erasmus+ Office has announced the upcoming Spring Erasmus+ Week, scheduled to take place from May 13th to May 18th.

The objectives of Erasmus+ Week are as follows:

- To disseminate information about the opportunities offered by Erasmus+ and facilitate collaboration between higher education institutions in Uzbekistan and European universities.
- To present opportunities for short-term study programs, as well as doctoral and master's degrees, at partner EU universities. Additionally, to provide information on teaching and research opportunities for university professors.
- To offer practical guidance on accessing, preparing, and submitting study applications.
-  To host various events in celebration of Europe Day.

Events will be conducted in  offline/online and are open to participants from Tashkent and all regions. We encourage active participation from all higher education institutions and students during Erasmus+ Week.

TAM seminar on "Digitalization of Higher Education and Increasing University Competitiveness" in Samarkand

On 23-24 April, Erasmus+ TAM seminar in Samarkand focused on "Digitalization of Higher Education and Increasing University Competitiveness." Prof. Ebba Ossiannilsson and an international expert shared insights. Participants included university leaders, Uzbekistan Erasmus+ Offices, and Higher Education Reform Experts. They gained understanding of digital landscape, tools, project management, strategic thinking, and research skills for enhancing university competitiveness through digitalization.

Erasmus+ information session at the Law Enforcement Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The NEO team in Uzbekistan organized an information session on “Erasmus+ opportunities and tips for a good project proposal for Call-2024.” It was held on December 17th at the Law Enforcement Academy.

Erasmus+ Information Day 2023

Erasmus+ Information Day 2023 was held at the National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek on 17th of November. The meeting was attended by representatives of higher educational institutions (HEIs) from all country regions, vice-Rectors for International Relations and Innovations, representatives of line ministries, HE stakeholders, and students.

Advisory meeting for recently chosen CBHE projects

Yesterday, November 16, marked the advisory meeting for recently chosen CBHE projects in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovations. The session brought together representatives from MHESI, HEREs, and the seven newly selected CBHE projects.
