Beachtacular! @ Sapphire Beach Vacation Rental

We enjoyed a pleasant walk/hike in St John yesterday. We walked from the ferry terminal to Honeymoon beach and Solomon beach. It was just over 45 minutes, just under 2.5 miles if you go to both beaches. It's called the Lind Point Trail if you look on a map app.

More Nonstop Flights Coming to St Thomas It’s getting easier than ever to get to the heart of the U.S. Virgin Islands.The island of St Thomas is seeing a major boost in service.

It's been 3 months since hurricane Irma. So I thought I would share an update on the condos.

Electricity was restored to the property yesterday. I have been at Sapphire for the last week making the needed repairs inside the condos. Fortunately these were all minor repairs and everything is complete and ready for vacationers to return.

Our first guests arrive this Sunday. :)

As far as the rest of the island. Electricity has been restored to 40% of the island with a goal to have it 90% before Christmas. Many of the restraunts have resumed normal service, grocery stores are fully stocked and there is an all around positive vibe on the island.

I want to thank those of you that reached out to wish us well. It is very much appreciated. I also want to thank those of you that are returning... a good portion of you return year over year and we are very grateful we can provide you a place you can call your vacation home.

The government has resumed its beach advisory. Sapphire beach checks out good.

It's wonderful how green the island is looking.

We very much appreciate all the support. We have made it to the Port of Miami and heading home to San Diego tonight. I appreciate those that have contacted us to wish us well.

I appreciate the requests to reschedule, and I will reach out once we get home. I am happy to reschedule you from Sep and Oct to Jan/Feb/Mar/Apr.

There was no damage to the condos, but there are many on the island that lost everything. It will be a difficult recovery for many of those families. Please do what you can to help.

We survived! All is good here at Sapphire. Some minor damage to the grounds, and we are happy we made it through this intense hurricane.

We are hanging in there. No videos as visibility is 5 feet. Lots of wind, as you can imagine.

Bernie's Bar and Grill in Red Hook just recently opened. Lot's of fun and worth a visit.

Highly recommended. Wonderful place for breakfast or lunch. Great views. Stop by the next time you are in STT.

We went sailing on High Pockets out of Red Hook marina. Top notch service from Kathleen and Wes. Highly recommended for those want to sail around St Thomas. Kathleen prepared a wonderful meal. Search Sail High Pockets to get more information.

They call it the shark tank at Duffy's Love Shack. In the background was live music of Lourdes. Great fun. Happy hour is from 5-7 pm. And the shark tank is 64 oz of fun.
