✅ Subtitling of pre-recorded videos;
✅ And above all, the real-time transcription of exchanges with language recognition;

1️⃣ A Vision for the Future

The National Strategy for AI (SNIA), initiated in 2018 and strengthened in 2022, aims to spread AI in the French economy to improve industrial competitiveness and collective well-being. Three main levers are activated:

➡ Training and research: Strengthening institutions of excellence with €560 million in public funding;
➡ Support for a cutting-edge offer: Development of cutting-edge AI technologies;
➡ Bridging supply and demand: Facilitating the adoption of AI by businesses and public sectors;

2️⃣ A visionary project

Our OpenLLM-France project aims to develop fully Open Source generative AI models, trained on high-quality academic data in French.

We aim to create an API and chatbot for education, leveraging Open Educational Resources (OER).

This initiative will support National Education and the EdTech industry to offer personalized and interactive learning paths.

On June 10th, we had the honor of welcoming the delegation from the Department of Foreign Translation and Interpretation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to participate in the seminar: "𝘋𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘓𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦 𝘓𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘶𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘍𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘪𝘨𝘯 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘐𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯: 𝘚𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘈𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴." The seminar was an opportunity for us to discuss the digital transformation journey in the 4.0 era, emphasizing the role of technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence.

At the seminar, representatives from LINAGORA introduced truly open-source AI solutions and large language models (LLM) operating offline and on-premise to enhance the efficiency of the Department's translation and interpretation work. Additionally, with positive feedback received during the seminar, we shared plans for implementing these projects, with a focus on contributing positively to the nation's digital transformation efforts.
