Travel safety tips during the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak: Vietnam’s Ministry of Health (MoH) has issued recommendations for people, especially those travelling to and from China on coronavirus prevention.

General recommendations:
1. Avoid travelling with fever, cough or shortness of breath. Go to the hospital immediately when detecting suspicious symptoms and share travel schedule with medical staff.
2. Avoid contact with those who have fever or cough. Wash hands regularly with soap and avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
3. Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing with a tissue or sleeve, put the used tissue in a trash bin and wash your hands.
4. Report to aviation, railway or coach staff immediately after experiencing signs of illness when travelling and go to hospital as soon as possible.
5. Only eat well-cooked food.
6. Do not spit in public. Avoid contact with any kinds of pets or wild animals
7. Wear a facemask when going to crowded places or contacting people who experience symptoms.

Recommendations for people coming from China:
1. Self-quarantine at home and monitor your health for 14 days. Report to local authorities for support.
2. When experiencing fever, cough or shortness of breath, wear a facemask and report immediately to the nearest medical facility for prompt examination and treatment.
3. Before your arrival, notify medical staff via phone of symptoms and recent travel itinerary.

Recommendations for people going to China:
1. Avoid going to China if not necessary.
2. In case of force majeure, avoid going out and apply prevention mechanisms as recommended by MoH.
3. When suffering a fever, cough or shortness of breath, wear a facemask and go to the nearest medical facility for prompt examination and treatment.
4. Before your arrival, notify medical staff via phone of symptoms and recent travel itinerary. — VNS

P/S: Until today, February 3rd 2020, 8 cases tested positive for nCoV have been reported in Vietnam. Most of them are people who are back from Wuhan or ways interacted directly with people back from Wuhan. They are all reported to recover very well. :)

Today (17/01/2020) is 𝑽𝒊𝒆𝒕𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝑲𝒊𝒕𝒄𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝑮𝒐𝒅 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 (𝑶𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒈 - 𝑶𝒏𝒈 𝑻𝒂𝒐). The ceremony takes place on the 23rd the last month of lunar year.

On this day, every family is busy staging a farewell ceremony for the Land Genie and the Kitchen Gods on their yearly visit of Heaven.

As the legend goes, the Land Genie and the Kitchen Gods will ride carps to Heaven on the day to deliver an annual report on the household's activities to the God of Heaven.

As the gods make their journey on the back of fish, it is traditional to release live carps into lakes or rivers, which is considered a kindhearted deed to pray for good luck.

On that day, people also burn paper clothing, including hats, robes and boots, intended for use by the genies on the trip beyond.
