Redux is an open-source JavaScript library for managing application state. It is most commonly used with libraries such as React for building user interfaces.

Here at Splendr we use when building dynamic applications. Lastly, we are using it on a React Native application. Benefits are clear, easy to debug, easy to test, easy to persist data, clear separation of concerns, etc.

React Native is an open-source mobile application framework that is used to develop applications for Android, iOS, and not only. With React Native, you use native UI controls and have full access to the native platform.

Currently, on two projects that we are working on we are using React Native. The simplicity of writing components, easiness of setup, and most important thing the speed of development make us very productive so we are always sure that products are being delivered in time.


Do you use React Native or you go fully Native?

Serverless enables developers to build applications faster by eliminating the need for them to manage infrastructure, the cloud service provider automatically provisions, scales, and manages the infrastructure required to run the code.

In one of our projects, was a specific requirement from the client, that needs to be used serverless architecture, more exactly AWS Lambda functions combined with Nodejs. This was our first time dealing with and turned out to be a great experience with a bit of a learning curve.

MongoDB is a cross-platform document-oriented database program. Classified as a database program, MongoDB uses JSON-like documents with optional schemas.

The first time we have used MongoDb is on a habit tracking application, that was built on Nodejs/Express and MongoDB. Mongo is very fast and for certain types of application very useful



Have you used mongo?

Entity Framework Core is a modern object-database mapper for .NET. It supports LINQ queries, change tracking, updates, and schema migrations.

On all projects that we use .NET, we also use EF Core because the symbiosis between them is incredible. What EF Core benefits us most is that we set up our database using only and directly C # code and the most important thing is that it reduces the pain of managing database migrations.

Docker is a tool designed to make it easier to create, deploy, and run applications by using containers. Containers allow a developer to package up an application and deploy it as one package.

In one of the projects that we developed, we had a lot of features and a lot of changes obviously we did releases quite often and the problem was the deployment process itself. For a small change or feature, we had to repeat the same manual process of deploying our code so along with CI/CD, Docker came to the rescue by providing us faster and easier delivery.

Sequelize is a promise-based Node.js for Postgres, MySQL, MariaDB, SQLite, and MSSQL Server.

Not too long ago, we had a project in Nodejs/Express and for communicating with the database(MySQL) we used . The good thing about it is that besides using its rich API, it allows you to write pure queries and run against the database. This came very helpful to us when we were developing the module of .

Though it has a wide range of possibilities we have used Nodejs only for a lightweight CRM application. Based on our experience we can say that if the developer productivity is your concern, Node is the answer.
