👉 The Lumbardh River goes through Prizren city, thereby dividing the city in two almost identical parts. Over the Prizren Lumbardh, many bridges have been built in history, but undoubtedly the most special one, which also became a symbol of the city, is the Stone Bridge.

👉 The Stone Bridge is located in the center of the old town. Historical resources do not provide any information on the accurate time of its construction. Based on materials used, the style, technique of construction, it may be assumed that the bridge was built by the end of the 15th Century, or the early 16th century.

🤔 Did you know there are two Sinan Pasha Mosques in Kosovo? One of them is located in Prizren, while the other one in Kaçanik.

The Sinan Pasha Mosque in Kaçanik was built in 1595 by Sinan Pasha, five times Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire, along with the fort in Kaçanik.

The Sinan Pasha Mosque in Prizren it was built in 1615 by Sofi Sinan Pasha, bey of Budim.

Day 2️⃣ & 3️⃣

Two days filled with activities! Students and their professors explored the beautiful and the vivid city of 🌇 Tirana. They had the chance to visit a lot of interesting sites, including Bunkart 2, this breathtaking ☢️ ex-nuclear bunker, now turned to a museum. They also went to 🚡 Mount Dajti, one of Albania’s most popular tourist attractions.

After Tirana, they headed to ➡️ Krujë, where they first visited its bazaar, which is famous for being one of the oldest in Albania. The construction of the beautiful and fascinating marketplace of Krujë dates back over 400 years.

👉 It is obvious they did not miss the chance to visit The National Museum, also known as the Skanderbeg Museum or the Kruja Museum. The name of the museum is in the honor of the Albanian national hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbej.

🏖️ Their activity did not stop in Krujë! They continued their journey to Durrës... of course to spend the rest of their days to get some “vitamin sea”.

Day 1️⃣

A group of students from 🇨🇭 Zurich, Switzerland, are staying in 🇽🇰 Kosovo and 🇦🇱 Albania for five days, to discover more about these two countries.

After their arrival at 🛬 Prishtina International Airport, the students had a short stop in Prizren. They had traditional food, some “çaj” and visited historic and cultural sites.

They continued their journey to Tirana, and enjoyed the summer evening there.

They are really enjoying this trip!

What is a plis? Plis is a white brimless felt cap traditionally worn by Albanians. It has spread throughout Albanian-inhabited territories, and is today part of the traditional costume of the Albanians.

The English-speaking staff will give you a fascinating tour of both properties and point out the various unique pieces of 👘 clothing, ⚔️ weaponry, 💎 jewelry and ⚱️ household items on display in each.

🏰 Novobërda Fortress is a medieval fortress in Kosovo. It is located near the town of Novobërda, about 20 kilometres (12 mi) east of Pristina.

⛰️ Behind that you can see Luboten, which is a peak of the Sharr Mountain, located at the border between Kosovo and North Macedonia. Its height is ↕️ 2,498 m (8,196 ft).
