Our last event of the quarter is coming up!
SVA and the Sports Medicine Club Present Advancements in Concussion Treatment and Protocols by Dr. Kirsten Bishop: Friday 12/14 from 12-1 in room CC150.
Traumatic brain injury (TBI) is a major cause of death and disability in the United States. Concussions are considered a “mild” form of TBI, but have long-lasting mental & physical effects. Please join Sports Med and SVA for a Lunch & Learn as Dr. Kristen Bishop presents on updated protocols for recognizing, diagnosing and treating concussions in your future patients.

We still need 1 more student volunteer to become a board member for 2019. If you are interested please email [email protected], or come to our open meeting Friday in the library. Great leadership experience and networking opportunities.

Students- just a reminder that board elections for 2019 will be happening this Friday at noon in the large library study room. We are still in need of at least 1 more new board member to keep this club alive! Please email [email protected] or come to the open meeting if you are interested. Being a club leader is a great thing to build your CV/ Resume!

Support Veterans in College on #GivingTuesday! 650,000 veterans are impacted daily by the Student Veterans of America (SVA) chapters on their college campuses! SVA is a coalition of more than 1,500 peer-based mentoring chapters on college campuses in all 50 states and 4 countries.

Students- we are in desperate need for new board members! Please apply for a position by emailing [email protected]. If we don't get 3 new board members this club will cease to exist.

Don't forget today is our Veterans day celebration! Join us at noon in CC 150 for a lecture on service animals and how they can improve the lives of veterans. All are welcome to this event which will be catered by Bene Plates.

We have had a few donations so far to help with our care package project for active military. Don't forget the collection bin will be in the cc lobby until veterans day. Thanks to all for your continued support!

We will be at the Club Fair in the CC Lobby today at noon! Stop by and see what we are up to this fall quarter. We will also have cards to sign at our table which will go to the local VFW for Veterans Day to show our gratitude to those who have fought for our country.

Did you know the American Service Animal Society has been helping Veteran’s train their dogs to become certified Service Animals for more than 12 years?
