Mosaic Thinking
Al Fusaic is a mash-up of the Arabic word, فسيفساء (pronounced fasayfisā) and its English translation, mosaic. This Arabeezee (Arabic and English) word highlights our perspectives of the MENA (Middle East and North African) region that were shaped by our cross-cultural experiences. We use ‘mosaic’ because it exemplifies the breadth of Al Fusaic resources and its constantly expanding space for those interested in MENA to explore, learn, grow, and contribute.
When we say “mosaic thinking,” we are trying to capture that beautiful moment of being confronted with the unknown and responding to it with love and care. We believe that one can only truly learn if the mind is open; and so, with mosaic thinking and a community of passionate, curious individuals, we hope to expand your perspective and perhaps change what the MENA region means to you.
