On Thursday, the Prime Minister of India will address a Joint Meeting of Congress in Washington D.C. This meeting is a symbol of the strong friendship and trust between India and the United States. I am honored to have been invited by the Consul General of India in Atlanta to witness this address here at the “India House”. As a member of the General Assembly, I extend a warm welcome to Prime Minister Modi. During the last legislative session, I took the initiative to sponsor HR 417, a resolution that acknowledges the significant contributions made by the Indian community toward Georgia's economy, education system, and culture. I am committed to doing everything in my capacity to maintain and strengthen the relationship between our two nations.
