Isolation and living in remote regions makes accessing resources that much more tricky, but this family are so incredibly amazing, having been to both our WA camps they are now making the epic journey east to take part in our QLD Spring camp program. We cant wait to scoop them up and help create more ACA camp magic. Its a real Flashback Friday moment this morning as we travel back in time to our very first ACA VIC camp in sunny Queenscliff. What a cracker of a camp that was, and an ACA camp initiation just wouldn't be the same without a bout of sponge games aka sponge wars. Since this first camp the VIC team have levelled up the playing field and have a finally tuned event which is a spectacle to admire with a bubbly waterslide to cap off all the silliness and fun! This team really go above and beyond when it comes to innovation and creativity. Sponge games is just one of the inclusive activities that will help your Autistic young person find their groove at camp and form bonds and connections with the other participants and our camp crew, because they're all in it together. No finer way to kick start the week than by introducing you to another of our awesome ACA team… no stranger to hard yakka and juggling more than one project at a time, please give it up for the one and only Bronte 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 Beginning her journey with ACA as our very first camp leader in Victoria, Bronte has oodles of experience working hands on in our camp setting, managing teams and children and parents and facilitators with an eloquent style and grace that’s all her own. She took a little break from ACA to concentrate on the MOST important job in the world- being a Mum! But with Bub in tow, she’s back on our HQ team stepping up to the dynamic role of VIC State Manager. ⭐️🌟⭐️ Bronte brings her calm, cool character to this important role which suits her to a tee! Fab with people and with getting stuff done in an easy manner it’s no wonder her VIC crew welcomed her back with open arms! You’re a lucky bunch and we feel super grateful to have Bronte and all her knowledge and wisdom back. Once your in the ACA family you never really leave forever 😉🤩😍

🌸MEET THE TEAM!!!🌸 What better way to kick off the week than to introduce you to the face on the other end of the phone that so so so many families have had the pleasure of speaking with over the years, let's give it up for Klio👏 Klio is an integral part of our HQ enrolments team, managing the NSW intake where she gently guides families through the enrolment process to get them to camp, and without her we'd all be lost. She has an incredible eye for detail and a heart so big it could burst. She handles every families situation individually with grace and patience and seeks out all the required info to make sure our families have a wonderful experience at camp. There's so much that goes on behind the scenes at Autism Camp Australia and Klio is a massive part of the success of our camp program making sure every T is crossed and every I dotted before each family arrives at camp, and she does it all with this incredible SMILE which we really felt like it was time to share with you all.😃 Anyone who's come to a NSW camp and had the pleasure of working with Klio on pre camp preparation will appreciate the lengths she goes to. And with Winter camps about to kick off we wanted to send some LOVE to Klio and thank her for all her hard work in the lead up, it doesn't go unnoticed, you really excel Klio, we'd be lost without you 🌸💜💜🌸
