In 2022, my bill to designate the Blackwell School as a national park site was signed into law.

Today, that designation was made
official by the Department of the Interior.

This is the beginning of an exciting chapter for Marfa, as this site will support economic development and bring new visitors to West Texas to experience an important piece of Texas’ history.

I will join my colleagues on the House Homeland Security Committee in conducting a comprehensive investigation on the security failures that took place at President Trump’s event on Saturday.

We will do everything in our power to find answers for the American people.
