Dedicated to Tristan Manoukian, RÉSONANCES: After Philip Glass is a suite of six movements, six "Résonances". (Movements I and II in this video.) https://youtu.be/0kc1CROqFEo When I composed the piece, I tried to create sound oscillations and vibrations between the notes. In the first and second movements, some hidden harmonics are generated by these oscillations, especially in the chords of the first "résonance". All the difficulty, for the performer and the listener, is to bring out, hear and listen to these harmonics. Inspired by minimalism and repetitive music, "Résonances" is one perception and one interpretation of the universe of Philip Glass.
