Here are our Overall Male Winners of the 2024 Neches Labor Day Run:
1st Place: Hayden Lightfoot - 16:20 - New course record
2nd Place: Michael Defee
3rd Place: Jeremy Griffis
We also have two returning champions from last year's race, Hayden and Michael, with Jeremy Griffis joining us from Buna. Hayden improved his time by a minute, setting a new course record at 16:20! Originally from Vidor and now residing in Houston, Hayden turned a weight loss journey into winning races all over the country. We love the competitive fire he brings and hope to see both him and Maribeth compete for a 3-peat next year.

Women Neches Overall 2024
The Overall Female Winners of the 2024 Neches Labor Day Run
1st Place: Maribeth Owens - 18:40 (Lumberton, TX)
2nd Place: Adison Richard - 19:56 (Nederland, TX)
3rd Place: Kendal Batuyong - 20:07 (Groves, TX)
We have two returning champions in Maribeth Owens and Kendal Batuyong, and we're thrilled to see Adison Richard from Nederland claiming a top spot this year. Maribeth, who first won at age 12, has not only defended her title but also improved her time by over a minute, securing 2nd place overall. Impressively, she also competed in the Cardinal Classic just two days before our race.
Our female runners made up 52% of the race demographics, and we couldn't be prouder of their performances. Maybe next year, Maribeth will claim the number one overall spot! We're incredibly proud of her determination and success in the Women's overall division.

Beaumont has taken the top spot!
Only 4 days remaining till race day. Lumberton has been making moves and climbing up the top 10, while Sour Lake has stayed steady at number 10.
Last year, an individual from Houston took home the overall award, with two runners from Vidor securing 2nd and 3rd place. Will someone from Port Neches or Groves claim an award this year, or could the city of Nederland emerge victorious? A total of 36 different cities will be participating in the race.
We are expecting a sell out and can't wait for Labor Day to get here soon enough.
