Queenie has been enjoying her time in the pasture versus the round pen. I typically don’t start a ton of colts outside the round pen like this but she lost all of her over-reactiveness and became more comfortable in an open, pasture setting! This one has such natural movements. She’s going to be such a nice one!

SMC Last Call Missy making her first pass through the poles. We have to work on those lead changes but I’m impressed for never have done anything of the sort before for this 3 year old! This mare is going to make things fun!

Last night I chose to ride in comfort as I was co-producing the race as well 😂 Sterling’s confidence is growing and growing in these outdoor pens! Once this mare figures things out she’s going to be wicked! 😍

Queenie is officially ready for some rides! I do tend to take my time with the ground work to make sure there aren’t any holes before hopping on there back. Queenie has taken everything in stride and I’m excited to see how she comes along under saddle!

Most probably wouldn’t post this run but there are a lot of positives out of this run. Mind you Sterling hasn’t ran outside more than a few times. She gained some confidence on the straights and grabbed some gears I wasn’t expecting causing our barrels to be a little wild 🫣 With more hauling and seasoning though, this mare is going to be wicked! 😍

Queenie is getting very close to getting her very first ride put on her! This mare has made things easy for me so far! 🤩

Ground work is one of my favorite pieces of starting colts! Queenie already has such a natural “whoa” 😍 Can’t wait to see her continued progress!

Amigo is 2.5 months old. He picks up his feet, stands tied to the trailer, loads and unloads from the trailer. This was his first time being fly sprayed and he didn’t even flinch a bit. I’ve been working on smoothing Cardi’s pattern out and it looks like she is catching on! This one goes home this week and I’m excited to see what her owner does with her from here!

SFR Sterling Cash making a nice, solid cruise through for 3rd in the 4D! This is her first competitive run outside as she’s been entered at indoor runs and also my second ride on her since getting her in. Very happy with how this went. It’s going to go up from here as we both gain more confidence in each other. She’s a cool one and gorgeous to boot! 😍

Cardi has been in for a couple weeks. We’ve worked on slowing her mind down. Lots of one rein stops and just taking things slow. I’ve been able to start some pattern work and work on tuning her up and smoothing her out. Stay tuned for more of her progress!

SMC Blantons Red Jet , Walker, has had some trouble picking up his left lead but we got him chiropractor’d and he’s back in business! He’s ready to go home next weekend. He’s going to be so cool! Smooth Movin Cash

This appendix mare came to me 2 weeks ago and she’s always on a mission to get places. So we’ve been doing a lot of slow work including one rein stops to get her to slow her mind down and relax. She’s responding so well to just slowing things down. Next week I will put her on pattern work. She came in for a tune up and some pattern work for 30 to 60 days depending on how she takes things in!
