🍁Oh hi Insta friends! 🍁 I’m finally back from vacation and getting into the creative flow of things. I will have ONE MORE Spooky Buddies restock in October (most likely the middle of October)

*READ* ➡️ When you buy a piece of art from an artist, you are buying something that no one else can say they have. You are claiming an item that is unique in its own way, and no one else can say they own the same one. It’s only yours. You possess something that someone put experience, talent, and heart into, to express something that they themselves deemed valuable enough to take the time to create and put out into the world. It’s not something you can find on your favorite online store or a local place to shop. When you buy an item, you are also buying a piece of the artist.

✨TRUTH: Sometimes I feel embarrassed about the prices I list my mugs for. Not because any of you make me feel that way, but because I make myself feel that way. I remember that people can go buy a mug at a nearby store for so much less, but then I remind myself that it’s a copy, and what I’m producing is literal functional art. I remind myself of the years of experience that include hours of backbreaking work, studying methods, succeeding and failing, and multiple sessions ending in tears because I thought I knew what I was doing and something didn’t turn out as I had so patiently hoped.

Ceramics is a constant learning process, and I’m grateful to have the ability to do it full time. I consider myself blessed beyond reason to have you wonderful Pouty Pottery friends that seem to really understand art without question. Sometimes I think you even get it more than I do, and I love you all for that. 🤍
