Which is all the more why we’re so grateful that every single one of you has chosen us. When .amberyoung tagged us in this tabletop shot of her high-end mobile work, that gratitude hit us like a tone of bricks. We can’t believe that Amber has only been doing nails since late last year given the quality of nails she’s putting out there already. But even more so that as a manicurist that is so young in her career she has really researched, identified and invested in the highest standard of nail health and hand hygiene there is by choosing our natural yet ultra effective hygiene water. Call us soppy, but that just catches us in our feels. 🥹

In an era where brands celebrate endorsements from large influencers and seasoned Pros (understandably so), we find ourselves once again breaking with convention and feeling especially thankful to Pros like Amber. We’ve had the pleasure of following for several months now, who truly offers one of the most elite nail care services in Paris (I know, we wish she was London based too 😩). Her n**e nail creations are what clean girl manis are made of. And whilst her studio draws are brimming with all the high-end beauty goodies that could seriously give a run for her money, she understands all too well that luxury, true luxury… the kind that oozes effortlessly without screaming for attention, starts with impeccable health and hygiene.

It’s not surprising then that she hopped on the Eurostar back to London and grabbed herself a bottle of our uber compliant, highly effective, knocks isopropyl alcohol out the ball park, hygiene water.

Thank you so much to every single one of you that reached out and offered affirmations of strength and good health to my sister. There is a long journey ahead of us still, but we thought it was about time we resumed some normalcy back into our lives, starting with reconnecting with you all.

Much like the many of the beauty pro’s we’ve connected with, we’re really just figuring out our small (but mighty) business as we go. Unfortunately that does mean we don’t always get it right, but thankfully we have a community that’s quick to let us know. And we’ll always do our best to listen and be responsive.

So hearing from a few of you that our baby-proof pumps were a little too stiff to work as quickly as you need in your busy salons, we decided to switch them out to match our 65ml. Hopefully you’ll now find it a lot easier to use.

It’s February Eve and we can’t help but reflect over the first month of 2024. You probably noticed we didn’t start the year all guns blazing of hopes and promises for the year ahead. We actually find all the noise of what we “should” or “shouldn’t” be doing anxiety-inducing (anyone else?!).

This year we took a softer approach following some wise words .it.in.n**etral shared with us. Rather than define a set of rigid goals for the year which often leave us feeling like failure before the month is up, Alex told us to think of a word that’s all encompassing of what we’d like to focus on and achieve instead.

He chose ‘investment’, we chose ‘alignment’.

Despite the spanners thrown that often characterise life, we’ve noticed by setting a word for the year it’s really helped us navigate all that comes our way with unshakeable clarity. For once, it feels like our intention for the year is actually achievable.

So, if you find yourself feeling a little disappointed that your draws aren’t as organised and instagrammable as you’d hoped at the start (like ’s enviable m shot above 🥰)… or you’ve fallen off the bandwagon with your New Year resolutions, we want to let you know it’s OK. It’s not too late to shift your approach, lighten the burden and take a leaf out of Alex’s book.

I don’t know about you, but ever since posted her experience with taking on a new client last Friday, who she discovered had nail “greenies” from chronic infills from the client’s previous salon (swipe left to see more) - I’ve not been able to sleep well at night. 😣

Now we definitely don’t profess to be nail experts at Labology 3. We’re all about hygiene in the beauty space and defer to the beauty pro’s when it comes to technicalities (that’s you!). But we sure do know a thing or two about maintaining proper hygiene standards.

I’ve been tossing and turning at night hearing some of the queries Lorna received which she ran past us. And I’ve got to admit I also ran with the fairies thinking up all the worst case scenarios that could occur with some of the malpractice we’ve observed in the industry. So… indulge me for a moment whilst I offload some of the Do’s and Don’ts incase you incur a similar experience, so I can finally get a good nights rest. 😅

First things first, throw out all the disposable items you used with the client. An obvious one I know!

But, what do you do with your drill bits and reusable tools? Give them a blooming good scrub in soapy water first. I know everyone is turning to ultrasonic cleaners for an easy experience but I’ve noticed they’re being used without detergent. 🫤 Err… since when did tap water, filtered water, heck even bottled mineral water act as a cleaning agent? I’m afraid to break it to you, the cavitation from ultrasonic cleaners still requires detergent to effectively remove contaminants that my husband would argue can be more stubborn than me sticking to surfaces. 🙄😅

Why does this matter? You cannot effectively sanitise, disinfect nor sterilise without ensuring a clean surface first. That goes for alcohol, our hygiene water, bleach and autoclaves too! Once you’ve done that, give it a rinse and proceed with your choice of disinfectant.

Of course I’m totally biased, but our hygiene water for tools and surfaces has been tested and proven effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa (psst… that’s the bacteria that causes the greenie) and it eliminates at least 99.9999% in merely 60 secs on surfaces. I recommend you soak (not spray) your tools and drill bits for a total of 2 minutes to ensure it’s fully coated and will kill off the bacteria within every millimetre of contact. Rinse off with water, wipe dry and store in an aerated container. Now what about your ultrasonic cleaner? And the brush you used to scrub? AND the surfaces the contaminated tools came into contact with? You’ll need to give those a clean too and follow with disinfectant. I’m afraid ultrasonics cannot be disinfected with alcohol (nor autoclaves… duh 😝) so if you’re thinking a quick spray and wipe will do the job you’re risking damaging your device! Thankfully our hygiene water will do the job. Just rinse off the detergent with water, spray and wait the 2 minutes contact time and then follow with rinsing it out again before wiping dry. And that’s it. Ahh… I tell you, I feel so much better already! I’m definitely going to conk out tonight. 😌😴🖤

When Manicurists of and come together amazing things happen.

We had no idea these two had a training day together. Much less that they’d discuss our hygiene spray and sing its praises. But we sure are happy about it!

And no, not just because we’re flattered that real nail techs, with real talent acknowledge the value and quality of our hygiene standard for their nail work (they’ve not been gifted, much less paid to use it and plug it after all). But because they’ve demonstrated that when community is placed above competition, magic happens. Just look at those nails… 😍🤌

A bit of a late post for us today, but we thought we’d share with you some insight into our Sunday reflections…

This week we discovered that got her hands on our Super Spray and well we pretty much hyperventilated out of sheer excitement.
