Real life Buddy meets his dad for the first time!
Doug Henning of Maine was able to find and locate his father on an ancestry site after 43 years of life. Henning says he was raised by a very amazing adoptive family, but wanted to know more about his personal background. Just like the movie, Elf, Henning's biological father didn't even know he had a son.

Henning decided to have fun when he met his dad for the first time in person. He decided to dress up like Buddy the Elf and sing just like Buddy did in the movie when he picked up his father in the airport.

Henning may be 43, but it looks like his dad will have his hands full with this guy! But I am sure he is blessed to now know his son.

FEDEX DRIVER GIFTS FAMILY ON HER ROUTE WITH A NEW BASKETBALL HOOP IN A RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS

A mom in Ohio took to Facebook to share photos and a sweet story about her local FedEx driver randomly gifting them with a brand new basketball, basketball hoop and a heartwarming note.

When Coledo Wheeler first arrived at home, she saw the packages not realizing who they were from. “As I walked up on the porch I noticed the ball and the instruction manual to the hoop. I didn't know where either came from. I came in I sat down and started to read the two letters attached. I instantly started crying,” Wheeler wrote. She had realized that the note was signed by Aubrey and knew that was her FedEx driver.

Wheeler had mentioned when Aubrey is normally delivering packages she sees her son, Eli, playing basketball with his friends or shooting hoops with herself and her partner and that the basketball hoop was in pretty bad shape.

When Eli came home to the generous surprise, he knew exactly who left it for him. “We showed him and told him who it came from. He knew exactly who Aubrey was. He started crying. Instantly he was ready to play some basketball needless to say,” the Facebook post read.

“What an awesome amazing thing that she did for him out of pure kindness. There are very much still good people in the world,” Wheeler continued in her post.

Wheeler has since update to her original post and said that Aubrey returned once more with sandbags to fill the hoop to weigh it down.

“God bless you, Aubrey,” the Facebook post concluded.

Booze N' Tattoos is one way this nursing home kept things fun for its residents during the pandemic. With so many of these places being closed to visitors and restricting what they are able to do, it's nice to see the employees keeping things lively for them! Just look at those smiles! 🥰

VERMONT WOMAN WHO WAS ADOPTED OVER 43 YEARS AGO LEARNS SHE HAS A TWIN SISTER AND WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE ADOPTED

Denise McCarty has always been told that she was abandoned at a hospital in South Korea when she was three because she was ill. She was adopted that same year (1976) on Christmas Eve and moved to the United States with her new family. Denise was always curious to learn about her relatives and submitted her DNA through a program with the Korean government four years ago. She received a phone call in October letting her know that her birth family had been located and she learned even more interesting information…

Denise was able to reconnect with her mother, twin sister, and older brother and learned her real adoption story. In June of 1976, Denise’s Grandmother took Denise (her birth name is Sang-Ae) and her twin sister (Sang-Hee) to a busy market where they were separated. Sang-Hee was found three days later, but the family was never able to find Denise (not knowing she was taken to an orphanage two hours away).

Her family never gave up looking for her. Her mother told her that they have always stayed in the village where she went missing in hopes that she would return someday.

“To have that missing piece of what happened to me is just incredibly overwhelming and happy and it makes me feel whole,” Denise said.

Denise has plans to travel to South Korea when the Pandemic is over so she can meet her whole family in person and not a zoom call. “I’ve just got this huge family now that loves me and that I love,” she said. “You can’t be happier than that. You can’t ask for more than that.”

This is not your average adoption story! We are glad that Denise has learned her story and will be able to reunite with her family.

🇺🇸 Thank you to the past, present, and future veterans. Your sacrifices to serve and defend our country will not be forgotten. Due to the Pandemic, many Veterans Day parades have been cancelled. We are so very thankful for the sacrifices the men & woman in the military have made for us to continue living our lives freely. We would like to show them our appreciation by posting some pictures from parades in previous years. 🇺🇸

Animals really do bring people together! This couple just got engaged after traveling over 4,000 miles to meet each other all because one of them posted a cute picture on a page with a cat. 🐱❤️

Adam and Anna connected in October of 2019 after Adam posted a picture of himself with his friends fat cat on a Facebook Group called, “This Cat is Chonky” and Anna commented, “cute.” Adam messaged Anna after seeing her comment and thats where their love story began.

They called and messaged each other everyday for two months when Adam decided to fly over 4,000 miles from London to Chicago to meet her. They have dated long distance ever since. They had plans to visit each other again, but with the pandemic shutting down the borders they had to keep everything virtual.

In July when the borders opened back up, Anna flew to London and moved in with Adam for lockdown there. When it was time for Anna to leave, Adam realized he didn’t want her to go. He proposed to her and she said yes!

Happy to hear how things worked out for these two smitten kittens. Who knows… maybe you’ll meet your future spouse on a page too! Maybe even on a page like Good For A Heart 😜

This is hilarious! An elementary school teacher who is virtual teaching has come up with a fun and creative way to show his students what it would be like to host Disney characters at your home by using photoshop.
Which character would you not want to host at your house during quarantine? 😆

You can follow him on Instagram at samuelmb1991 to see what else he comes up with.

We found this post circulating around on Facebook. It has a great life lesson and we appreciate these type of teachers. Did you have any teachers that made an impact on you? Let us know!

Heres the story:

They brought balloons to a school.
One was given to every student, who had to inflate it, write their name on it and throw it in the hallway.

The professors then mixed all the balloons.

The students were given 5 minutes to find their own balloon. Despite a hectic search, no one found their balloon.

At that point the professors told the students to take the first balloon that they found and hand it to the person whose name was written on it.

Within 5 minutes everyone had their own balloon.

The professors said to the students:

′′These ballons are like happiness. We will never find it if everyone is looking for their own. But if we care about other people's happiness... we'll find ours too."

TODDLER IS SURPRISED WITH HIS OWN GARBAGE TRUCK PARADE ON HIS BIRTHDAY

When you ask most kids what they want to be when they grow up they will say things like doctor, firefighter, astronaut; but that’s not the case for Wolfgang Reader (goes by Wolfy). He has an obsession with garbage trucks and loves the men that drives them. So he says he wants to be a trash collector!

Before the pandemic, Wolfy spent most days with his schoolmates. Although, now that he spends most days at home, Wolfy’s favorite day of the week has become Friday since it’s trash collection day.

On the mornings of collection day, Wolfy excitedly awaits for the garbage trucks to appear on his street. He has become a mascot for the trash collectors and they have created the nickname for him and his friends calling it the “Wolfpack.”

Due to the lockdown in Toronto, Wolfgang’s parents knew they would not be able to give him a big birthday party. They told him he could have a few friends over for cake and he of course wanted to invite his trash collecting friends. His parents were not sure if they would show up since his birthday fell on a Wednesday and not a Friday.

Wolfy’s grandmother sent a letter to the City of Toronto telling them about his birthday and the enthusiasm he has for his garbage truck friends. Without the family knowing, the garbage truck friends had big plans for Wolfy. On the morning of his party, four big bright garbage trucks came rolling up the street honking their horns and Wolf was ecstatic!

“The boys came bearing gifts, howling out their windows and took time to play with Wolfie,” his mom posted to her page. “He even got to honk the horn! Does it get any better!?”

His garbage truck friends took the time to shower him with trash-related gifts and even play with him.

“They’re the next generation to come, so seeing them enthusiastic about something even as simple as what we do in our everyday lives brings meaning; shows the importance of what everyone does in society. It just makes me feel good” says one of the trash collecting friends.

We love stories like this and what an impact these men have left on Wolfy!
