This meet we went into it of course shooting for gold and keeping the state title. Which we did by over 15kgs. This prep I went through insane waves of feeling confident I can hold onto the title to crazy nerves thinking about all the what ifs. Even throughout the meet my mind was having these up and downs even though the last deadlift. When it came down to each all I did was trust my training and it paid off. Slowly since the meet has ended I have remembered to be proud of myself. We did what we went in to do plus more. We all have to remember to be proud of ourselves.
I love this sport so much and I am always reminded why at meets. I love competing along side all these amazing people and lifters. So congratulations to everyone this weekend.
Of course a huge shout out to FIU powerlifting we have all come so far together and you all amaze me so much. You guys are not only teammates but family. I love you all so much.
A big thank you to my family who would go to the end of the earth to come and support me if they had too. Having my family at each and every meet is always the cherry on top. I couldn’t be where I am with out them.
And lastly a huge thank you to my coach alvaro for the constant guidance, support, knowledge and motivation to get me where I want to be and further. This prep I definitely complained and ranted about so many frustrations more than I ever have to him so thank you for putting up with that. I hope you know how appreciated you are. You really are the goat.
Engine Jen is back to the lab
We’ll see you in Atlanta😤💙

Meet recap
My first Raw iron powerlifting league meet! To say it was an amazing experience would be an understatement. Ever since we moved out here to mount pleasant, the raw iron family has been so extremely welcoming. It has made the move that much easier and I am so grateful for them everything they’ve done for me. This meet in particular that they do holds a lot of meaning and emotions. This meet, lifting the stigma, is all about su***de awareness and remembering and honoring those who have been lost. I am lucky enough to where I had no one specific to lift for but many of these athletes were lifting in honor their of lost loved ones. I joined them hand in hand to be their support and to honor their loved ones as well. All donations and proceeds will be donated to su***de awareness. Their goal was to hit $20,000 in donations and this morning before lifting even started RIPL hit that! With more to come the rest of the weekend. I am honored and so appreciative I could be apart of this.
This meet we didn’t peak, we did taper though which definitely did the trick. And this was the first time my dad has been my handler and he did great. Thank you dad for helping me out today! It worked out great! Walked away with best overall lifter and with that I won a belt I get to customize and an awesome medal rack! Had the best bench of the day and took first in weight class. I am extremely thankful for this day and for everyone who helped me out as well as everyone I got to meet today. I can’t wait to grow in and with this new community!
Squat
158kg/ 348lbs (6lb all time pr)
Bench
95kf/ 209lbs (11lb meet pr)
Missed 100kg/ 220lbs on a 4th attempt
Missed my opener cause my butt came up then missed my second from a back cramp
Deadlift
3rd attempt 180kg/ 396lbs (16lbs all time pr)
4th attempt 183kg/ 404lbs (24lbs all time pr)
Meet Total
433kg/ 953lbs (33lbs pr)
Went 8/11
They allow 4th attempts in this federation if it’s a record, so we went for a 4th on bench and deads but 4th attempts don’t go towards the meet total
FINALLY HIT 400 ON DEADS. I cried after that one. I’ve missed it multiple times in comp and in training so to finally hit that was an amazing milestone!
Now we get our eyes set on state
(Will make a reel for the lifting videos)

The moment we’ve all been waiting for! My nationals photos came in!
I train for the photos like these!😍📸
#11 in the country looks pretty cool!
They say do it for yourself. But this comp I not only did it do myself but I did it for my friends, family and coaches who got me there with their love and support. By pushing and encouraging me. Being able to compete on the national stage, at my home did bring me some nerves feeling that there was pressure to perform and not let the people who would be there for me down the one chance they all get to be there. When it came down to it, my head was locked in and I trusted my training, the process and my coach. And with that, came out 11th in the nation out of over 70 that competed. Top ten would have been amazing but this was still a huge improvement from last year. This competition on and off the platform was such a special time and I will hold on to these moments forever. So a big thank you to my friends, teammates, family and of course my coach, Alvaro. I can’t express my appreciation enough. I truly couldn’t do it without him. We’re coming for that top 10 and even higher, let’s get back to work🫡
Squat: 155kg/ 342lbs (6lb ATPR)
Bench: 90kg/ 198lbs (6lbs comp pr, missed 209)

Total: 417.5kg/ 920lbs (5lbs ATPR)

Heading home for competition! A long drive but getting home to my family is worth it!
If this doesn’t explain what my body feels like 2 weeks before nationals, I don’t know what does lol
My biggest fans
A lovely lovely lovely 180lb single today. Officialy in meet prep so bench is starting off well
Yesterdays paused deadlifts! 3x6 with 295. I hate paused deads but they work magic✨
First day back on program, time to build!
My saddest thanksgiving plate ever! Even on thanksgiving still gotta make sure I get down to my weight class. I definitely taste tested a few desserts buts still stayed under my calorie intake for the day!
