Blunderware
An alternative music band based in Dhaka, Bangladesh begins to look forward, because if I look back, I am lost. Reset, redo, restore.

It would be ungrateful of us to not remind you who made the conception of "Maagh" possible: special thanks go to Salman Ahmed Choudhury (drums), Ahmed Jawad Khan (piano), AZ Ishraque (audio engineer) and Saleh Uz Zaman (backing vocals) and extra benefits to Asir Arif (composer).
May Maagh find you with your thoughts wherever you are in the heart of your own, desolate winter, and may it show you a bonfire amidst all the smog.

Does anyone have any snaps or videos of kites/kite fights/people flying kites from Shakrain? We are working on a project and could really use them. Thanks.

Thank you to the wonderful soul who played our song "Afim Chaash" at the last day of Dhaka Makers 2. Maybe we will actually play it at the next one?
Thank you Invalid Beatbox for the capture.
Enjoy the full song from "The New Afim EP". Link the comments.
Pataye Pataye Aanka Ghuri • Some debts can never be paid in this life. One such debt is owed to our friend Guddu, the “defiant” giant, who is not with us today. Years fly by like kites cut down one by one on a Shakrain sky, old friend; will this song written after you live on when we’re all dust again? Link in the comments.
Blunderware’s “new” old release, “The Neo Afim EP”, recovered from the fire, remastered from what little remains of the past, is finally arriving like a train at the station late at night, filled with mist and fog. There is a time to say goodbye, and it is now.
Coming to all streaming platforms soonish on … watch that space-time continuum.
And subscribe to all our socials (blunderwareofficial) because more songs are coming your way this coming week!
It would be ungrateful of us to not remind you who made this possible: special thanks go to Studio Chirkutt/Butter Communications (recording), Mushfiq Hasan (composing, guitars), Samir Hafiz (audio engineer, mixing and mastering) and AZ Ishraque (audio engineer, remastering).
In a dream, all the lost kites of childhood make their way back home. We wait for our big boy to find his way into our arms again. See you, old friend.

Behind the Scenes at the Dawel Sessions • It’s a sleepy fu***ng day, shoot me. Here’s a quiet, sleepy rendition of the song.
“Afim Chaash” is out now on YouTube, a Also, precursor to “The Neo Afim EP” that’s about to drop soon on all music streaming services. Listen to it now through the link in the comment sections.
“Afim Chaash” • What is new that could be said about this song? Even before “viral” was a thing, the doctors at the Blunderlab created this.. monstrosity, this abomination. What have we done, said Oppenheimer, as the song entered the mind of.. sorry, we’re getting ahead of ourselves.
January 2010, Blunderware released the infamous Afim Chaash into the wild. Fourteen years into the future, we make the same happy mistake again.

May the sweet scent of Afim linger with your thoughts wherever you are in the tall grass fields before they all burn down around you.

Afim Chaash - The Boy and The Boat. Rushnaf Wadud and his friends from Tehelka: Andrew, Raju, Samrat, Shaunak and the boys, shot a pilot, adrift on the Yamuna, through the heart of the subcontinent.
This happenstance gave birth to two things at once: a pioneering production name that catapulted local indie content all across the early years of the internet: the TehelkaTV sessions, and a little band situated in another part of the subcontinent, in Dhaka, Bangladesh: Blunderware.
12 years later, we revisit the moment the phenomenon of “Afim Chaash” was truly born; reverberating down the halls of celebrated institutions as a “f*ck you” anthem, droning out of your hiding places, remembering once we were young, and winter hadn’t come for us yet.
Here’s the first-ever iteration of “Afim Chaash”. We celebrate its new life on the internet with the upcoming “The Neo Afim EP.”.
What was lost in the fire, we exorcise it; through the mist and fog of Maagh, we come back again to this Bengal.

January will eat us all. Maagh is upon us.
Maagh (time capsule) • And before you know it, ten years have passed us by. I mean, just look at us!
Here’s us in 2023, because history only comes back around. Some songs just don’t disappear, you know?
We’re nearly there. Maagh is upon us.
Fashionably late to the birthday wish, but fear not – the celebration week rolls on! Happy Birthweek, Sinjan!
A new year is a good time to be grateful. And AZ Ishraque deserves it all. Starting from collating and putting together old Blunderware material to be presented anew (more on that later 😉😉 nudge nudge), to showing us a new path in the audio engineering of our material.. here’s to you, Dip. May this partnership always be fruitful, and maybe a little less last minute!

From Rushnaf’s journal, 31.04.2023, Monday, 10:10 PM: “I know April is at an end, but it would be remiss of me to not make a note of this little piece of magic, a moment I still borrow warmth from when the wasteland inside me, the barren remnants of things I’ve left behind in cots and IV drips and pulse monitor beats, they all come together to overwhelm me. Before I flew away to yet again find out what was wrong with me, my baby brother hosted a show at Jatra Biroti, and brought me on stage to perform with him what would turn out to be the beginning of a moment of hiatus from the stage, for me.
The stage is where I might have truly been born. Just like I’ve left parts of me in hospital cabins, I’ve taken on scraps and bits of stages across a world, quiet, wild, beautiful, dangerous, enigmatic, full of peacetime roses on the stage, and twisting indecision, taking bourbon for rage. How do I leave it behind? How does one say goodbye to the expectant faces just beyond the blinding lights? A room that has memorised and knows your song better than you do? That hums and reverberates with so much love that a single man’s weak heart barely holds it together, manages to contain you all within it?
I said goodbye on April. I don’t know when I’ll be truly back, but this moment, singing my own favourite song urged on by my brother Rushmian Wadud… grown up so much, performing his own little show… this moment shall always remind me that the cruellest month can indeed be a little kind. Rewind.
All that was missing in that room was our sister… but in this way, I can just imagine her singing along in my head. In this way, she’s in the room when I’m holding back my emotions when I waved at the light when I walked off the stage. Goodbye, April.”
Thank you Sadman Sakib Onindo for capturing this moment. Love and regards.
“Moshari’r Ei Din-Raatri”, coming soon (since 2011) (we have pictorial proof). Watch this space.
Happy Birthday to THE sexiest guy on this imaginary planet - RUSHNAF WADUD!
P.s He has longer hair now.
“The world of the living will pass you by;
If you’re gonna stop to smell the flowers,
Better make pilaf out of the petals and the hours
Spent chewing cud is bound to make you high.”
