Quick little Saturday PSA: trim your wicks!!! Not only will a trimmed wick disperse the proper amount of heat to melt the wax and release those amazing fragrance oils, itβs a huge safety thing too. If your wick is too long, the flame of the candle can get a little wild posing a fire/heat hazard. A wick thatβs too long will burn through too much wax (significantly decreasing the lifespan of the candle), might evaporate the fragrance oils instead of dispersing them, and can lead to carbon buildup/sooting. The good thing? The solution to all these problems is SO simple! For a perfect burn every time, always trim your wick down to about 1/4β and never let your candle burn for more than four hours at a time. βΊοΈ We do so much testing to determine the proper wick sizing for every scent/jar combo we have to make sure those above mentioned problems above are avoided. Once you get your candle, they need just the slightest bit of TLC to keep them glowing and smelling their best and of course to be the safest they can be. Other candle questions? Drop them below β¨
