The Cult of Personality: How Mainstream Politics Borrows from Cult Tactics Ever wondered how cults keep their members so engaged? It's not magic. It's a mix of Behavior, Information, Thought, and Emotional control. The BITE Model of Authoritarian Control. And guess what? These tactics aren't exclusive to fringe groups. Deep Dive: Dr. Janja Lalich has spent 30 years studying this. Her findings? Disturbingly familiar. www.janjalalich.com Video Evidence: RSBN's coverage. They call Trump "president" and his plane "Trump Force One". Not just a slip of the tongue. It's a narrative. The 'Stolen' Election: Dangerous and divisive. 61 lawsuits dismissed. Yet, the narrative persists. Why? Follow the Money: Joe Seales of RSBN found a goldmine in disinformation. Fox News? They're paying the price. $787M to Dominion and counting. (remember the Smartmatic lawsuit against them? - $2.7B) Read Up: Seth Abramson lays it bare. Trump's alleged collusion, corruption, and more. amazon.com and sethabramson.substack.com The BITE Model: Ever heard of it? Steven Hassan, PhD @cultexpert breaks down the cultish behavior around MAGA and Trump. Eye-opening. freedomofmind.com Here's my question to you: Are we, as a society, becoming more susceptible to these tactics? And if so, how do we guard against them?

Wow. This video of a dolphin and human embryo in the phylotypic stage makes me wonder about the interconnectedness of life on this planet. The fact that these two species, so different in appearance and behavior, share such a similar developmental stage is fascinating to me. It's also worth noting that the phylotypic stage is a critical time in embryonic development, where the basic body plan of the organism is established. In humans, this stage occurs at around 4 to 8 weeks after conception, and in dolphins it occurs around 4 to 6 weeks. May this serve as a powerful reminder that all living things are part of the same web of life, and that we are more alike than we may realize. It's also a reminder of our shared responsibility to protect and care for the natural world, including the amazing creatures that inhabit it alongside us.

I'm creating a huge art exhibit with my friends/partners-in-art, Daniel N.Marder & Joseph Ivacic They're world-class glass artists. I'm not. But I have other skills. I decided that we'd document our journey from the beginning by doing podcast episodes on my podcast The Art of Being Dar - with Dar Dixon. It's called The Theriac Project & it's our collective outrage at school shootings/mass shootings/lack of sensible gun reform laws. And it's a multi-media exhibit with glass work like you've never seen before, and... I can't say anything else right now! It's pretty, pretty... pretty good, though. We started in late August of 2022 and it's amazing to see how far we've come. We're quite literally, building it in public. We have a well respected museum that wants to show us in their main room. Who woulda thunk it, right? Here's a clip from our first episode - tons more to come.

Yup, I was in a pseudo-religious, doomsday cult. Sh*t was crazy, man. I tell all about it in my upcoming memoir. In the meantime, here’s a clip from the Whatheflok? “Cult Survival Stories” co-hosted by my friend Hoyt Richards (we met in the cult, and we’ve stayed friends - I told you it was crazy!) This is about the time I met Sylvester Stallone…

Michael Rapaport used to say this line all the time: podcasts, interviews, Instagram, wherever. It’s from Danny Aiello’s character - Sal - in the 1989 hit “Do The Right Thing”. I love that Danny tries his “I hide behind a mask” actor bullsh*t, and sees Rapaport with his head back… and finally delivers the line. 😂❤️🤣❤️😂 ✌🏾❤️✊🏾
