We’ve put months of work into researching, creating, rehearsing, costume sourcing, music editing and trailer making, so it felt really great to show it to an audience today.

Really chuffed with Eek & Wild’s new show, Sculpt!
Sculpt is based on three sculptures that are part of the art collection at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. It will be performed in the atrium space at the hospital for visitors, patients and staff.

Looking forward to teaching at these upcoming events!
Firstly - I will be co-leading a workshop with Ella&co. for Springs Dance Company in collaboration with Taboo Arts. A day for advanced dancers to come together to move, create, discuss and feel encouraged. We'll have technique class, creative sessions and time to connect. Lunch provided!
Secondly - Springs Dance Company will be running their Summer Intensive for dancers aged 14+ of all abilities. I will be teaching ballet and contemporary for various levels. It's a wonderful week and I highly recommend coming along.

And that’s a wrap for ENB’s Creature Explored workshops. I’ve really loved helping young people in secondary schools to discover more about Akram Khan’s Creature and about contemporary dance. The students shared their work with other schools in their borough and it was wonderful to see a culmination of everyone’s creations. A big shout out to everyone who has worked so hard to make this happen.

Delighted that Creative Soul Dance run by will return this term! I will be co-leading these with Rachel Riveros of .
These free sessions for adults will help nurture your well-being in body, mind and soul. Creative Soul Dance is all about expressing yourself and finding joy through dance. There is no such thing as getting it wrong! Each session is followed by refreshments and a chance to get to know each other.

It has been a privilege to be part of this new work by Springs Dance Company, choreographed by Lizzi Kew Ross and Heather Richmond. A Time To Mourn, A Time To Dance embodies a kaleidoscope of grief and joy.
The tension between grief and joy has been very real for me over the past couple of months. Being part of this work, alongside such loving and kind artists, has been a beautiful space for me to process.

We’re thrilled to announce Creative Soul - our new series of FREE arts wellbeing events in Nine Elms.
First-up is Creative Soul Dance. Join us - in person - each Wednesday evening from 27th April for gentle movement sessions to nourish your body and enrich your soul.
Hosted by Nine Elms Arts Ministry and supported by Dominvs Group , these friendly sessions are led by professional dancers, Emily Yong Dance and Rachel Riveros.
Everyone is welcome – you don’t need any dance experience – for adults of all abilities.
Taking place at St Mary’s Primary School (opposite Battersea Park Station) in their beautiful new sprung floor halls.
Each session begins with a gentle warm up, followed by some simple stretches, before we explore a short movement piece, based around a different theme each week. It’s all about expressing yourself through movement, in an encouraging and supportive environment - there is no such thing as getting it wrong!
After each session there will be refreshments and a chance to reflect on the class and enjoy each other’s company.
You can attend just 1 session, or come along for all 5 - there is no charge but do share the details or tag anyone else who might be a Creative Soul.

One of the highlights of my year is working on The Easter Project with Springs Dance Company. Today a group of Year 3 and 4 children performed their show in front of their parents and carers. Seeing them tell this timeless story through movement, experiencing the emotions of the characters, thriving off the discipline that comes with a dance performance, observing their post-show glowy buzz and watching them work as a team to pull of an epic show never gets old.

Back home safe after a wonderful Journey of the Magi tour with . A huge honour to share this special show with communities all over the UK. It was an inspiration to meet so many people who are full of love, generosity and service. It was also the biggest joy to bubble for three weeks with the ultimate dream team - Dan, Ella, Katie and Viv. My heart is so full. But now time for a break! 🎄🌟❤️

Friday will be my last regular online contemporary class 🥺 Creating and teaching these classes has kept me going throughout this past year of lockdown. What started off as a one-off class turned into around 45 classes of boogieing! This joy would not have been possible without all the amazing dancers who have come along - from the people who dropped in when they could, to the regulars who have been every week, from my gorgeous beginners to my inspirational pros. THANK YOU for joining with me and and holding my virtual hand through this rocky time for freelance dancers. Your support has been invaluable. I hope the classes have helped you to stay hopeful, motivated and dance-loving over this crazy year.

2020 has been a frustrating year as a dancer in so many ways but there have been little pockets of light. It's been a joy creating this dance film with Katie Albon and Ella Fleetwood. We created it just for fun, as a trio of friends, to spread a little light in this dark time.
