Over a decade ago, my first time in New York actually revolved around my trauma. Fast forward to this year, I was invited to speak & minister at a beautiful church in Brooklyn serving “the lame, blind, disabled, and poor.” Talk about a full circle moment.👏🏽

I am grateful for my God who takes my past pain and uses it to build a platform to share His hope, healing, and freedom to the hurting.

When God transitions you, He is re-positioning you. He is aligning you to divine opportunities that are assigned to grow you out of your comfort zone. He is aligning you to relationships that are assigned to activate the dormant gifts in you that have a purpose in the Kingdom.

That’s why there’s a shedding process during transition.

Even nature exemplifies this process:
“Many animals undergo molting as a means of shedding their outer layer—feathers, hair, skin, or exoskeleton—so they can grow bigger or prepare for their next life stage.”

Similarly, those “old skins” can’t come with you because they are limiting you. Even the relationships, opportunities, & open doors that God blessed you with in one season can be a limit in the next. God is transitioning you in order to restructure your capacity for increase.

Royalty, your identity & Kingdom purpose REQUIRES the shedding and the transitions. Expect these often & embrace them when they come. God has so much more for you.

“I’m not superhuman. I’m not indestructible. Words still hurt. Fears still taunt. Weary still arrives. I breathe it all in. Exhale it all out. Then get up again because I trust God’s got it all figured out - even when I can’t count. “

I grabbed a pillow and fell asleep on the floor after 3 of the seven cities on tour. I was exhausted. I’d just gotten some very tough news and couldn’t fathom continuing. I had nothing left, but I knew many people were counting on me to deliver. I show up strong for a bunch of people. What God has done through me has helped so many. I’m still being helped too.

The more you’re known for one thing the more intentional you must become about clinging to all your things. The beautiful, terrifying, ugly, and exhilarating things. I chose to take this moment and cling to my fragility. If you’re not careful, you’ll be stripped down to a version of you applauded by many but foreign to you. I can’t afford to lose my little girl's voice in search of the roar of others’ approval. I’m a powerhouse, demon bully, and a girl sorting through trauma - some old and some brand spanking new.

I told you “Girl, get up!” because I heard it first. I knew that “Everything Must Go” because I unpacked my bags. It’s always to me and then through me. That’s the real “Undoing.” I’m a peasant with a crown, and to be honest, I love it here. I’m a living epistle. A testimony from a girl reclaiming her time from shame, fear, worry, and the dehumanization that comes when people refuse to see that you still bleed.

I’m not superhuman. I’m not indestructible. Words still hurt. Fears still taunt. Weary still arrives. I breathe it all in. Exhale it all out. Then get up again because I trust God’s got it all figured out - even when I can’t count.

And my prayer tonight is that this random post helps at least one person feel a little less alone. ❤️

Sometimes we will take a pit mindset to the palace. That is why that door hasn’t opened yet! That is why God is redirecting you to wait. That is why the process is taking longer than what you thought it would.

There are things that He needs to develop in your character in this season so that you can SUSTAIN the success, challenges, and disappointments that the next season will bring.

There are old habits, expired relationships, & unhealthy mindsets that aren’t meant to go with you. It’s in this pruning process, that He will produce the character you will need for the palaces & promises that are assigned to your destiny.

Royalty, don’t sabotage the very process that is meant to propel you.

“Reaching a soul with one leap at a time” 🩰

So I gotta be honest. During the fall of last year, I was on the verge of resigning as Executive Director for Emerald of the Sea.

Only my husband & the Lord knew of the decision I was contemplating. I was praying for God to show me who would take the lead.

Don’t get me wrong, I am super passionate about the mission to empower survivors to experience healing through the Holy Spirit. I am passionate about seeing families, generations, and nations restored.

BUT THE WEIGHT OF THE VISION IS SO HEAVY.

I started to doubt the vision that God gave me. I started to question if it was too big of a vision. I started to doubt if my assignment had to come to an end. I started to discredit myself as an executive director.

I was so conflicted because I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to transition or if this was God preparing to stretch my capacity.

& THEN I GOT A TEXT MESSAGE FROM A PASTOR IN ANOTHER CITY (WHO DIDN’T KNOW ANYTHING)

This is only a part of what he said:
“Don't ever doubt that it was Me who placed the vision in your heart. I can hear the cries of my sons and daughters. There are many who will see freedom because of your yes. Trust Me."

I am literally crying as im typing this.

Today we celebrate 4 extraordinary years of serving survivors of s*xual trauma & exploitation. I am humbled, grateful, & overwhelmed by the faithfulness of God.
I truly am beyond grateful for every single person who has supported, prayed, sowed, & invested in this vision.

Here’s to a new chapter of extraordinary breakthrough & blessings. 🌎🌟

Lord, supernaturally increase and expand my capacity to mother well while being faithful to my assignment on Earth.

Baby did more than just stretch my body to a new capacity.

There are days where the weight of all my responsibilities push me to my limits.

The deadlines, endless demands, and constant changes in my life have burned me out a time or two.

Even with boundaries, self care, soul care, productivity hacks, accountability, community, and help from youtube, I sometimes feel like I still can’t keep up.

It’s in those moments that He challenges me to tap in to His ability to supernaturally expand my capacity. I can only go so far in my own strength.
….But I choose to hold on to the Truth that He renews my strength & mounts me up with wings like eagles. I will run and not grow weary; I will walk and not faint. 🦅

Royalty, you are not defined by your limitations. You are protected by them. Your limitations can be invitations for Holy Spirit to increase your capacity and renew your strength. You can partner with His strength today and for the rest of your life.🙏

A year of many TRANSITIONS.

Each of them unexpected:
a beautiful baby, a city move, and many other private transitions.

Each of them have challenged me to lean on God in a different way & have required me to surrender it all.

All the sweet and bitter tears taught me something about myself & God’s heart for me.

I’m grateful for this monumental chapter in my life. 😭

I welcome chapter 2022 to be a year of increased FAITH.🕊

Grateful for the valleys.💛

God doesn’t only speak on the mountaintops, He speaks in the valleys.
A valley is usually a low area of land between mountains.

Though I walk THROUGH the darkest valley (great peril- injury, destruction, loss, danger), I will fear no evil. For your rod (instrument of authority; used to count, guide, rescue, and protect sheep) and your staff (instrument of support) they COMFORT (reassure) me. Psalms 23:4

“In the field, a shepherd would use the curly end of the staff to pull a sheep out of thick brush or to lift it if it happened to fall or was injured.”

For me, the darkest valley looks like the grief, despair, disappointment, and triggers that come with transition. I’m learning to depend on Him to be the river flowing through it in this season of my life. I’m learning that it’s not my job to carry the staff. I’m learning that He is faithful to rescue me. I’m learning His heart as the good shepherd. I’m learning to be grateful for the Valleys. 😭

Royalty, your valley may look different than mine but I also declare this over you.
Though you walk through the darkest valley, you will fear no evil. His rod and staff will comfort you. You may be walking with an injury but don’t quit walking. You will get through this valley! 👏🏽

Feels surreal. I barely have words, just abundant joy & peace. But I do need an abundance of sleep and sushi stat.
