How would you describe your life in 3 words a year ago today?

Where were you living?

Where were you working?

What was your favorite hobby?

Who did you surround yourself with?

What were you eating? How were you moving? How were you sleeping?

Pre-COVID was a different universe for all of us. I certainly didn’t expect 2020 to go the way it did energetically.

Personally—The past 12 months sparked more neurons in my small noggin than any other year in my almost 24 years alive on this big ball floating through space. Nowadays, ironically, everything seems much more defined & refined.

I continue to stack the stones, and grasp fresh answers—but I also continue to ask:

What harsh truths do I prefer to ignore?

Is free will real or just an illusion?

Is there a meaning to life?

What should be the goal of humanity?

Does fate exist?

What is ‘God’?

What is ‘god’?

What is trust?

What does it mean to live a good life?




The only way I will be able to answer these types of deep questions is with your support.

What is one simple thing you do every single day, or week, that brings you superjoy?

It could be walking the dogs, lifting weights, cookin up din din with your roommates or family, weekend night outs with friends, or perhaps even just bundling up and reading a good book before bed.

What makes that one thing so special? Is it the conditioning of doing it so so often over time? Is it because it’s healthy? Is it because it’s apart of work or your success drive?

If we dive deep into ‘the why’ of our actions at every moment throughout our days, our inner wizards will begin to wand at us if it truly meshes with our core values.

I myself have broken many bad habits in the past bc they were toxic non-negotiables that didn’t align with soul core values.

Sometimes we misinterpret when the gun goes off.

We think we’ve begun the race, but really it’s just a false start.

No biggie.

Just back up a little, reset, realign, & prepare for liftoff once more!

Remember: there never really is a perfect time to start anything.

Only our souls know when it is divine time.

And our souls can communicate to our ego, but only if we are listening will we know when it is the “right time”.

Our ego can sometimes take the wheel, which isn’t bad or good, but it’s important to know when you need to reset, open your soul, & listen for the real gun shot.

Most doctors in today’s world don’t truly grasp this, and it’s not their fault, it’s the system!

Inadequate instruction during medical school, residency & other additional training is a primary reason for SICKCARE (where’s the healthcare?)
👨🏽‍⚕️👩🏻‍⚕️
Medical students are still getting less than 20 hours of nutrition education over 4 years (and most of it is nutritional dogma—I’ve been taught in my university courses. I can relate firsthand).

This is where holistic health coaches come in:

Growing up, do you remember something happening to you that you didn’t anticipate, something that surprised you — and not in a good way?

Maybe it was missing the winning goal on overtime or maybe you came home with a third place award in the science fair, and rather than getting that big ole hug from momma, she barely gave you a glance saying your should’ve tried harder.

How did you feel?

Chances are you can’t relate to this one, but my point is that life IS PAINFUL AF!!

These things stick to us, and although these don’t seem like that big of a deal, they truly shape how we go about life as we age.

I thought it would be helpful to provide a simple explanation for the 4 ways we cope with emotional wounds & why they’re important to each and every one of us.

Trauma may be forgotten consciously, but it’s deep DEEP in our subconscious.

These wounds can damage us (and others)... if we let them.

Which is better: FRESH or DRIED/POWDER TURMERIC?

Well, I ALWAYS like to opt for what nature supples—whole, organic, unprocessed

Why? Well because it’s richer in nutrients such as the potent anti-inflammatory CURCUMIN & oils which are stripped away when dried into powder

I still like the powder & religiously take 1/4 tsp a day with black pepper (bioperine) to increase absorption of curcumin, but FRESH IS BEST!

So many more livelier nutrients & it gives food that rich & delish earthy, spicy flavor!

I toss mine in smoothies or add it to pressure-cooked dishes

However, if you train your brain to override your body’s response to JUMP OUT of it— you grow. You become resilient. You overcome barriers in your head.

This translates to all areas in life, from how stressed you get from work to how stressed you get from that person cutting you off on the freeway (aka you don’t give him the finger as he rolls by)

Cold therapy is a HORMETIC STRESS—meaning “what doesn’t kill you makes you’d stronger”

Similar to exercise, the little bit of it daily is stressful in the short run, but empowering in the long run. You’ll live longer & less stressed.

Who else is stoked that music festivals are revitalizing this year?!?

2019 summer was brimming with gatherings, commune, connection, big crowds, & dancing all over each other.

S**t. We even breathed 3ft away from each other without yucky, judgmental eyeballs.

We shook hands. We hugged. We smiled seeable smiles without thin face coverings.

We didn’t obsess about hand sanitizers, toilet paper & social distancing.

Well— despite what’s going on now. I BELIEVE 2021 WILL BE THE SAME!

TRUST THE MOVEMENT.

Give us 3-5 months and we’ll be rocking out & dancing freely in the sunlight where no sickness lingers because LOVE KILLS DIS-EASE!

Do you have any tattoos with any meaning or connection behind them?

I got this tattoo when I turned 18 years old, shortly after my little sister Nena received her new heart in March 2014. She laid on a hospital bed for 3 lengthy months until this blessed heart rolled into her room.

As you can tell, it’s an electrocardiogram wave pumping out “life”.

I truly believe in organ transplants and donating life after our vessels are no longer habitable for our souls on this planet.

Giving your organs to someone in dire need for breath is the most God-like thing you can do!!

It’s leaving quite the legacy (vs being dragged into incinerating flames then shoveled into a vase & used as decor in your family’s living room—just saying).

Just think about it: YOUR CELLS ARE OPERATING & FUNCTIONING WITHIN ANOTHER HUMAN BEING TO KEEP THEM ALIVE. I don’t know about you, but that’s epic.

I wish life were truly that laid back, but it really isn’t all that easy-going.

We are constantly bombarded by A LOT of dogma, especially in this health & wellness realm.

I myself am guilty of it on occasion, thinking that there is ONE CURE ALL thing you can do, like “take that supplement” or “move your body” or “eat this, not that”

But really, there is no single pill or potion that will turn your life around.

I strongly believe it’s the micro things you do on the daily that create that macro healthy & happy life YOU DESERVE!

It’s not going to be easy, but if every human prioritized these 6 lifestyle goals for 2021, the world would be much more peaceful.
