One year since the disastrous Conservative budget which sent mortgages, food, basic goods and household bills rocketing 📈 The Tories crashed our economy with Wolverhampton households continuing to pay the price. It’s time people had a say over the future of our country. The general election cannot come soon enough.🌹

Had such a lovely day at Bushbury Hill EMB annual fun day. ☀️🎠🎨🍔🎂😊 Thank you to all the volunteers and staff for putting on lots of activities and stalls giving everyone a great time. This year was particularly special celebrating it’s 25th anniversary. 🥳 Bushbury EMB works with local partners such as WV10consortium, Big Venture, Fifth Avenue Community Centre, Bushbury Hill Community Action Group, CAATs https://www.caatservicesltd.co.uk/ to provide advice and support, as well as a busy events program from day trips, holiday clubs for children to pensioners tea parties. Met with Wild Campers Against Waste who are passionate about working with families to enjoy and protect our wild spaces. Check out their page for more information. It was also great to meet some of the WV10 community chefs who hold regular cooking and advice sessions to show people how they can make those groceries go further. As well as the fun day, I dropped by Low Hill Community Centre and had a catch up with the team who had lots going on as usual. Out this morning in Short Heath campaigning with Simon Rollason Short Heath Labour. Simon is a local champion who you’ll see every Sunday working in the community with neighbourhood PCSOs on Streetwatch around Short Heath. Despite the best efforts of medical and support staff, the poor state of our NHS after 13 years of Tory rule is resulting in Women being failed and badly let down. We need change. Labour will invest in training to bring down waiting lists making sure patients can be treated on time again.
