Sometimes we get fiber that is either very coarse, or alternatively, very slippery like Suri, and very often black Huacaya. We have to put bags in the roving cans to reduce the distance the roving has to travel out of the can. This helps the roving stay as consistent as possible and not overstretch or fall apart before the predrafting on the draw frame. This is a Huacaya/Suri blend to be made into 2 ply DK yarn. #salliesfenfibers #fibermill #thursdaythoughts
