I love the 2000 MLB Showdown game so much. It combines the data of fantasy sports with the thrill of a tabletop card game and the fun of collecting cards. It has brought my brother and I so much joy over the years; in fact, we still play the game every time we get together and we are now into our late 30’s. A few years ago we finished collecting the entire 462 card 1st edition set — like 1999 Pokemon, these were the very first sets released from WOTC and have the same exact stamp. The foil players were the 62 “best” players from the league, with at least one from each team. I am currently collecting the best known collection of the foil cards and aiming for PSA 9 or 10 grades only. It was SO cool to see the recent video from @ta24cards covering the game’s history and legacy. That was my favorite card content in a long time!
