freeing one another from concern.
Can you do this on your current path?
The Pandemic of Inhibitions Family anecdotes portray me as an incredibly confident and creative child. Uncles and aunts would travel an hour to enjoy my evening puppet shows, I opened several shops around the house and taught in various schools, with many diverse students successfully graduating, everyone from stuffed animals....
...and I started writing again!
A few thoughts on the importance of being present in our work...

How does this apply to what you do?
Graphic Recording, a Practice of Presence How to enter that elusive flow state? Having a Graphic Recorder on board offers many benefits.
•These hand-drawn visuals make any in-person, hybrid, or virtual event far more engaging and memorable
•Many of us are visual learners and, by capturing the key takeaways, these graphics help participants remember what took place at the event!
•The visual summaries can be used long after the meeting to inspire and to continue conversations. In some cases we create wonderful infographics based around these visual summaries
•Thanks to this visual documentation, the event will live on as the final piece is shared with those who were present, everyone on social media

Graphic Recording - in new ways.
The more we're in the moment, the better the outcome; this is the beauty of Graphic Recording. It's a Practice of Presence, a battle against one's perfectionism and self-judgement.
I imagine many of you can relate to this ;)
I also love how I get to explore endless styles and ways of capturing the content, as each event calls for something different.
I hope you enjoy my latest creation based on this truly liberating talk by

I started painting patterns and it turned into this new Weekly Planner! ☺️
This Nonfigurative design was inspired by Native American art, which I've always had a soft spot for. 🙏

Saturday morning creative routine.
My journal, a coffee and a blank sheet of paper. ☕️🖋
Let it flow!
I've accepted that when my job is also my deepest passion, these weekday lines may blur a bit. Sometimes it feels great to create without any requests or purpose ~ this is what I leave for the weekends.

How do you respond to expectations?
According to Gretchen Rubin, asking this simple question can give us immense self-knowledge. Knowing about the four tendencies we generally fall into helped me to better understand myself and those around me. 😉
Once I understood what works for me and what doesn’t, I was able to hack my own system and began building great and lasting habits.
Take this quick quiz at www.gretchenrubin.com to discover your tendency!
You know, February is still a great month to start a new habit😁
A lifetime of journaling...
I started when I turned 13, on a new years eve. The only resolution I've ever managed to keep. 😅
Yet it has brought me so much peace, joy and self-awareness, that I am an absolute advocate of the benefits of this habit.
Here I am, 15 years later...
I'm determined to find ways to help others tap into the art of journaling.
I will be publishing a series of digital journals & planners in the months to come. I hope they will inspire you to take your pen and life in your hands!
Coming soon: my very first Optimism Journal!
The world becomes a better place every time someone steps into a role that is truly "a great fit".
Isn't it liberating to meet someone positively glowing while they're working?
In 2023, let's be inspired by them to find the patience, courage, and drive to land the role we not only thrive in, but will see the greatest possible impact we can have.
Have a happy New Year!
Keep going ..and let 2023 surprise you... ;)

The 5 types of Creative Thinking!
Good luck with those Christmas presents 😅
✨ Systems Thinking is a method to make sense of complexity by looking at the individual parts and the relationships between them.
✨ Divergent Thinking facilitates the generation of creative ideas by exploring as many solutions as possible, also known as Brainstorming!
✨ Lateral Thinking is a way of solving problems using an indirect approach, which is not immediately obvious, often referred to as ‘thinking outside of the box’.
✨ Aesthetic Thinking focuses on reframing the problem to see its inherent beauty and value. It appears when we are producing or discovering something beautiful and harmonious to our senses.
✨ Inspirational Thinking occurs when you receive sudden insights from somewhere or someone. For example, when Paul McCartney woke up with the tune of Yesterday in his head. Note these down immediately as they are often brilliant, valuable, and can disappear quickly!
I have been dreaming about this since I was 13. Little did I know that it would manifest quite so literally!?😅 I felt like coming back to England, and two months later... here I am..
Spending a *surprise* day wandering around Pemberly with my Mr Darcy and some great champaigne to keep us warm🥂
Note to self ~
(and all of you)
Dream big! 🥰
They're listening up there.
I treated myself to an online CBT course... just for fun.. ;) ...to master my mind in these hectic times. I have been doodling around while listening to the sessions, taking visual notes, as I always do...
And I can't help but think: I spent 20 years studying and I had no idea I had such a great learning tool. I remember illustrating everything outside the margins, but I would never dare to go inside to restructure what I had been given.
So I thought I'd recreate & share one of these sketches.... Never too late to emphasize the power of using visuals in learning, training, engaging, and remembering! It could help so many of us!😊
Have a great weekend,
everyone!
Don't forget to treat yourselves to the elixir of life!
Let's Talk Creative has given me an opportunity to talk about what I do and how I stay creative. ☺️

Thank you, Megan & Kalina!
I came across a brilliant idea I *actually* acted on
…and that I found to be true, so here I am.
If you have ever been labeled as a "Jack of all trades" this may come as a relief: according to Tim Harford, doing many things might just be the key to keeping our creativity going.
In fact, “slow-motion multitasking” is what some of the greatest geniuses embraced in order to achieve all that they did. They kept working on multiple, entirely different types of creative projects until the end of their lives.
I used this idea as an excuse to pick up and focus on things I have been eager to do: this year I taught swing dancing, joined an improv club, and started writing again…
…and soon, I experienced the benefits of these activities in my visual thinking processes, in some ways, my entire career.
I highly recommend his TED talk, and that you notice the neglected talents you may have.
No need to limit ourselves... 😍maybe we are meant to "be all things", and it will be for the best.

Sharing something that has helped me a lot recently…
I have a thing for water — just being around it calms & rebalances me.
I had a craving to see the sea a few days ago, so wrote it down as something on my bucket list for the months to come. I happen to be in the middle of the island, probably the furthest you can be from a shore in the UK 😄
The next morning, a friend calls me saying that she needs to get away for a few days.. do I want to go somewhere?
My mantra lately has been “Let it be easy” … because I feel that (in my head) I’m making things harder than they need to be.
Does that ever happen to you? Having this intention, things like this started happening to me…
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!
These words of wisdom come from an old lady I met during my travels, as we were discussing her incredibly successful career path.
Wishing you good luck in your current endeavours!
