I cannot talk enough about candle safety. . Being in the candle industry I hear all kinds of horrible stories about candles gone wrong. 🔥🙀
This goes for any candle you may be burning. Always check your wicks before, during and after you burn. If it looks too tall (1/2" or taller) or has carbon buildup, please trim it!! This will not only provide a safer burn, it will make your candle last longer and burn stronger!! 😁👍🏼

Tunneling! What is it and how do you fix it?
Tunneling in your candle is when you burn it for short periods of time, and the melt pool doesn’t go all the way to the edges of the container, instead it burns in a small pool and just keeps getting deeper with each burn.
If you see your candle doing this, don’t panic! 🥰
Here’s how to fix it:
STOP burning for short amounts of time. DO burn longer at each session. This may mean burning it for 8+ hours.
STOP cutting your wick. Continue to burn with the longer wick. DO pinch off any carbon buildup, cause we don’t need that. 😜
Follow these simple rules until the edges start to melt and you reach a full melt pool. This could take a few LONG burns.
All of my candles are highly tested and if burned properly, should not result in tunneling. However, if you find yourself with a ‘tunneler’ beyond repair, please contact me so I can help you fix it or I’ll send you a new one! ❤️

Ahh... The Gingerbread wax melt...sweet with a little spice makes this the perfect gingerbread scent. I love melting it in the kitchen for a fresh baked gingerbread cookies smell. 👩🏻🍳😊

🎉 Happy New Year!! 🎉
After the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season as a crafter, I needed a little break to unwind, regroup and get my s*** together. 🤪🥳
But I'm back and ready to take on 2022!
However, I can't help but recognize that 2021 brought so many blessings when it comes to The M Shop Candle Co. I personally handpoured 500+ candles, 200+ melts in 16 different scents, attended 3 vendor events, sold 325 candles on my site, and more in person and through Forage + Feather.
I also went through a rebrand (which is still in progress) and a multitude of other details and changes I haven't disclosed yet. One thing I've learned in the candle business is that you have to stay 3 steps ahead. As you all were buying your holiday scents, I was busy researching and testing spring scents.
I'm so excited to see what 2022 has in store! To start, be on the look out for a NEW and improved soy product. If you think my candles are good now, just you wait... 😁🙌🏼
