It's time for some #candlesafety tips! A lot of my customers love to burn their candles for HOURS!! I get it! That's why soy wax is a great alternative, it burns slower than a paraffin candle so you may NEED to burn longer to get a good melt pool. To do this safely, you have to make sure your flame doesn't get too hot or too big. Whenever you see a carbon build up on the flame... CUT IT OFF! ☺️ Not only is it not good to have all that carbon go into the air, but it makes your candle burn faster and hotter. Ouch! Check out my short video on cutting the carbon! The jars used for my candles are great for repurposing after the candle is gone. Clean out the remaining wax and wash with warm soapy water and you have an empty vessel to work with for so many purposes. One idea, is this cutest fall decor. And it's so easy to do. Check out the video for a quick tutorial. Materials used: 🍂 4 clean glass candle jars 🍂 burlap ribbon 🍂 paint (color of your choice) 🍂 paint brush 🍂 glue gun 🍂 stencil (or freehand the letters) 🍂 fall plant stems 🍂 wire cutters I like to throw a couple inches of corn kernels in the bottom to hold the stems in place.
