Ok, it’s been a few weeks since I’ve been to Costco and I’m having withdrawals! Thought I’d put a quick video together of some items we’ve bought over and over again! ⁣ ⁣ [I also wanted to include the Brie stuffed chicken breasts but they haven’t been in stock at my store in sooo long 😩! Really hope they come back eventually!] ⁣ Anyway, I REALLY want to know your Costco favs!! 🤗 Let me know in the comments ⬇️

I’m simply saying many are not and this is where a lot of misinformation begins 😉!! ⁣ ⁣ Happy Thursday and sorry for the same post twice 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Let me know below! ⬇️⁣ ⁣⁣ I think I’m going to repeat these and keep switching up the foods until I hit all of your favourite foods 🤗!! ⁣ ⁣⁣ The point is: FOOD IS FOOD. ⁣ ⁣⁣ Some days might be full of produce, lean protein, whole grains and healthy fats and some days WILL not. ⁣ And that is FINE! ⁣⁣ Don’t go into your new lifestyle expecting to be perfect because you won’t be perfect. ⁣ ⁣⁣ The only thing that will stop your progress is giving up because you can’t do it “right”. ⁣ Expecting that you will ONLY have the days full of produce, lean protein, whole grains and healthy fats sets you up for failure and quitting. It’s just not realistic to sustain everyday for the rest of your life. Give yourself grace when your day looks different! It’s normal. It happens. Enjoy those days too, and then carry on 🤗 ⁣⁣ It’s all about balance! 🙌🏽🙌🏿🙌🏻

Do I have any “list” people around here? 🙋🏻‍♀️😂⁣ ⁣⁣ ⬇️⁣ ⁣⁣ 1️⃣ What is a nutritionally balanced meal? 🤷🏻‍♀️⁣ ⁣⁣ ✅ One that has a variety of micro and macronutrients! ⁣ ⁣⁣ 🤓 Micronutrients are vitamins and minerals (such as iron, zinc, vitamin B12, vitamin C, calcium) and macronutrients are carbohydrates, protein and fats. ⁣ ⁣⁣ 2️⃣ How do you achieve a nutritionally balanced meal? ⁣ ⁣⁣ Think about the “balanced plate”! Aim for mostly produce, some starch, some protein and a little fat. ⁣ ⁣⁣ 3️⃣ Why balanced meals?⁣ ⁣⁣ ✔️helps you feel more full and satisfied through the day. ⁣ ✔️ helps you feel better, more energetic, less brain fog⁣ ✔️ helps stabilize blood sugars and prevent “crashes” or “hitting a wall”⁣ ✔️ helps your reduce binge eating or overeating at night 💜⁣ ⁣⁣ 4️⃣ Should all of my meals be balanced? ⁣ ⁣⁣ NO! Realistically no! Not every meal you eat for the rest of your life will be half filled with produce or have the appropriate amount of protein, it’s not realistic. Aim for most, not all. 😊 ⁣ ⁣⁣ 5️⃣ What about when my meals aren’t balanced? ⁣ ⁣⁣ 👉🏽 pay extra attention to your cues⁣ 👉🏽 plan a snack ⁣ ⁣⁣ I know for me personally if I don’t eat a balanced breakfast or lunch, I need to plan to eat a snack with protein to prevent HANGRINESS (is that a word?
