The instrument God uses to drow men closer to himself is pain I don't think without pain there would be any great man of God with powers and results Show me a man that got powers and wealth without pain and struggle and I will tell you a man that's has bypass the school of the spirit and escaped the process of life. Behind every glory there are scars that was gotten from pain, tears, and struggles. God first of all allows you to perceive the aroma but won't give you the food instantly, It's like passing a restaurant or an eatery and you perceived a sweet aroma and you have the desire to get it but you don't have what it takes to afford it, what will you do?, That's when you begin to start looking for money, trying your possible best to taste the food but in God's restaurant you don't purchase food with money but with sacrifice and services, humbleness, reverence and obedience. Just as you needed water, there's a well, you have a bucket but what it lacks is ropes, how then can you fetch water without a rope? that's when you will start looking for means inorder to get water This is the reasons why men says God Is strict and turned from his ways, but what we don't know is God want us to know the purpose of that thing we are looking for, if a soldier isn't trained in a very strict and hard way he would think the battle ground is a place to play, joke and a relaxation spot. God always sees us as babies that's why he always love seeing us humbled and acting like babies when we come to his presence. Even as great as Elijah he humbled him to the level of a baby in 1kings 19:4, what about king David he was humbled many times and he cried like a baby times without numbers in the bible in psalms 119:81-82, he did same to Jesus Christ his only son, What about our fathers Abraham, Isaac, Jacob they're so lot of them even down to our generations. #judejcwquotes
