Leather Brick Series for a Bag, 2022 The work is a three-dimensional space composed of leather, which the artist recognized as a medium that constitutes a two-dimensional space. The artist (@hyunjee_jung ) paid attention to the different points of material’s characters such as the colors and the features of surfaces from each side of the leather and she intersected them to reveal the various properties of leather. The Rajikon Series was created by Sang-hyun Cho (@hitencho) using several keywords found in the Louis Quatorze brand which includes France, tradition, classics, craftsmanship, South Korea, culture, subculture, and low-tech. He categorized those keywords into gender and generation to reinterpret culture for creating ‘Boys’ series. Among the many elements of boy culture, such as hip-hop, skateboards, moped gangs, and cars the artist was attracted to the radio-controlled cars (RC Cars) from 80’s and 90’s. He was boldly enough to borrow the design and manufacturing techniques of the RC cars to break away from the typical design of women's handbags with his design experiment. #louisquatorze #findyourlight #shapeshifter
