I was asked to perform at the NSW Department of Education’s Back to School event in Sydney! It was an amazing experience! I played Tommy Emmanuel’s arrangement of Day Tripper and Lady Madonna. 🥳

Schools Spectacular 2023! I was so privileged to be able to play Tommy Emmanuel’s arrangement of Somewhere Over the Rainbow on such a huge stage with the most incredible support crew and fellow artists. Thank you!
School spectacular 2023 was on last weekend and I had the most amazing time. It was an absolute privilege to play Tommy Emmanuel’s arrangement of Somewhere over the Rainbow in such a huge stadium! I also played Stayin Alive in a rock band which was so much fun and the last song was super cool and called Fabulous! There are no words to express how grateful I am for this experience. Every single part of this show is incredible from the coaching and support to the life long friends I have made. Here is a short video of sneak peaks. It will be broadcast on channel 7, December 9th, 7pm. Can’t wait!! 🥳
It’s my birthday today and I was lucky enough to see Tommy Emmanuel live a couple of days ago! It’s been 4 years and he is better than ever! Such an amazing performer with incredible stage presence. I was very inspired by Tommy’s playing so decided to come home and learn a very beautiful song he played in the show. It’s called Sail On and he wrote it the night his brother Phil died 😔. I absolutely love this tune. Here is little video. (Excuse the raw footage and the household noise in the background.)

It was the most amazing experience getting to play alongside such talented musicians and I loved every moment of it. It was so exciting backing such incredible singers and I even got to play a couple of solos.

Last night was the finale of the NSW Schools Spectacular! I have had the best time and met the most amazingly talented people. Such a great experience! I can’t wait to see how it all looks on tv in a few weeks time. It all started last April and now it’s done! I’m going to miss everyone a lot. Here is a short video from last night.
