We commiserate with the Ekemode, Giwa and Raji family over the demise of their matriarch, Alhaja Ramotallah Amoke whose death occurred today, Wednesday, 17th January 2024 aged 90 years.

Alhaja Amoke would be buried tomorrow, 18th January 2024 at her residence after a brief prayer at the Central Mosque, Oke- Balogun by 12noon.

This is a personal loss to our Principal, Rep. Wale Raji and other family members as Alhaja Amoke was a supportive mother.

We pray Almighty Allah (SWT) forgive her shortcomings and grant her Aljanah Firdaus.

Chief Orimipe died today at the age of 86 years and will be buried today at his residence in Ibonwon.

He was a committed party member who consistently put in his best in the interest of the party in the past decades.

He will be sorely missed in the family, community and in the political circle.

May God grant his family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and forgive his shortcomings.

The legislator representing Epe Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives and Chairman, House Committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Rep. Wale Raji today paid a courtesy visit to the newly installed Abowa of Agbowa, HRM Oba Owolabi Saheed Momson who was installed on Saturday 11th November 2023.

Rep. Wale Raji said official engagements impeded his plans to attend his installation hence today's visit to the monarch. He rejoiced with the monarch and the good people of Agbowa for the feat. He said his relationship with the monarch spans decade just as his love for Agbowa and its people knows no bound which is reflective in the volume and quality of projects he has facilitated to Agbowa in recent times.

Oba Owolabi Saheed Momson commended Rep. Wale Raji for his support which he said predates his emergence as king. He also appreciated the legislator for the volume and quality of projects he has facilitated to different parts of Epe and particularly, Agbowa ranging from Recreational centre, Vocational centre, Schools, Markets, roads, health centre etc.

In a surprise pronouncement, Oba Owolabi Saheed Momson conferred the first honourary title under his reign on Rep. Wale Raji as "Otunba Bobaselu of Agbowa" in appreciation of his quality representation and leadership that he said has brought unprecedented development to different parts of Epe Federal Constituency.

Hon Dehinsilu Wasiu who spoke on behalf of the community appreciated the legislator for standing out as a legislator in the service of the people. He tendered some pressing community needs to the legislator ranging from employment opportunities, roads, markets, schools and healthcare facilities.

In his response, Rep. Wale Raji thanked the monarch for the honour and pledged to live up to the responsibility of the title. He said apart from the ongoing Recreational facility, Vocational centre, schools and other developmental projects he has facilitated to Agbowa axis, provision has been made for more Markets, Schools, Roads and other impactful projects. He requested for the credentials of five (5) unemployed youths who will be gainfully employed in the next few months.

In an elaborate event hosted by the Elejinrin of Ejinrin, Oba Rafiu Ishola Babatunde Balogun yesterday 5th January, 2024, Government functionaries, Traditional leaders, Political gladiators and community members turned out enmass to witness the ground breaking ceremony of an ultra modern Town Hall facilitated by Rep. Wale Raji to the ancient Ejinrin community.

In his welcome address, the Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin, Hon Wale Raji Anomo expressed his delight at the new development which he said is just one of the many landmark projects Rep. Wale Raji has facilitated to Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA and other parts of Epe Federal Constituency. He said from the upgraded Itoikin market to the Vocational centre in Agbowa, Recreational centre in Agbowa, schools and other numerous impactful projects facilitated by the legislator, he can affirmatively say that Epe Federal Constituency has never had it so good. He pledged the cooperation of Ikosi-Ejinrin local council development area in the building process and management of the edifice.

In his keynote address, Rep. Wale Raji commended the Elejinrin of Ejinrin, Oba Ishola Babatunde Balogun for his prophetic contribution to his journey into the legislative house. He also commended his visionary leadership in the community which he said has led to the attraction of numerous projects to the historic community. He said the hall was constantly requested by the king for the community and after few years of working on it, he is glad it has come to life. He hinted that mor projects are already in the pipeline for different communities across Epe Federal Constituency and they will be unveiled soon.

A much delighted Elejinrin of Ejinrin, Oba Rafiu Ishola Babatunde Balogun thanked the legislator for keeping true to the promise he made few months ago. He showered encomium on him and said words of prayers to all who came to witness the event from different parts of Epe and beyond.

After the ceremony, members of the high table led by Rep. Wale Raji and Elejinrin of Ejinrin, Oba Rafiu Ishola Babatunde Balogun moved to perform the ground breaking ceremony to signal the commencement of the project which is expected to be delivered within the next 6 months.

The well attended event also had in attendance Chiefs of the Elejinrin in Council, Ketu in Council, Wale Raji Think-Tank committee led by the Chairman, Otunba Nurudeen Yussuf, Council Manager of Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA, Mr Sunday Awobajo and other dignitaries.

As part of efforts to ensure timely delivery of the project, contractor handling the construction of Babatunde Bakare, Edatomola Ogundipe and Halima streets in Epe Local Government, have started the asphalt laying of the link roads.

Senior Legislative Aide to Rep. Wale Raji on Special Duties and Projects, Otunba Wale Olusesi said the project which started in August 2023 would be delivered ahead of time. He also hinted that the roads will be fitted with solar powered street lights upon completion.

He allayed the fears of residents of Uraka, Kula Nla and other areas where road construction are currently going on across Epe Federal Constituency. He said Rep. Wale Raji has consistently shown "zero tolerance" for uncompleted projects hence none of the projects he has facilitated so far will be abandoned. *REP. WALE RAJI'S COMPULSORY TREATMENT AND CARE FOR VICTIMS OF GUNSHOTS ACT (AMENDMENT) BILL 2023 SCALE THROUGH 1ST READING*

In a bid to clear the ambiguity and broaden the scope of the Compulsory Treatment and Care for Victims of Gunshots Act 2017 to also include victims of other dangerous weapons, Member representing Epe Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives and Chairman, House Committee on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Rep. Wale Raji on Wednesday, 19th December 2023 sponsored a bill titled- Compulsory Treatment and Care for Victims of Gunshots Act (Amendment) Bill 2023.

The legislator hinted that the aim of this amendment bill is to allow by law, private and public hospitals to accept and provide immediate medical treatment not only for victims of gun injuries but also for victims of other dangerous weapons such as knife, cutlass, bottle daga and other dangerous weapons alike with or without a police clearance/report.

Speaking further, Rep. Wale Raji said the bill will expressly clear the ambiguiting which health and security professionals have identified and feel constrained about under the 2017 Act which specifically mentioned "Gunshot victims". The ambiguity he said has led to loss of precious lives especially when it concerns victims of other dangerous weapons like knives, cutlasses, bottles, daga and other dangerous weapons that were not mentioned in the 2017 Act.

He said this amendment bill is to ensure that no life is lost as a result of the absence of such police report which might not be easy to obtain while a victim is in a critical condition and in need of urgent medical attention.

Rep. Wale Raji hinted that aside the current bill, he has sponsored the following bills in the current 10th Assembly which all have direct effect on strengthening public institutions for the overall benefit of the nation and it's citizens. The bills are:

1. Code of Conduct Bureau and Tribunal Act (Amendment) Bill 2023.

2. Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (Alteration) Bill 2023

3. Electoral Act (Amendment) Bill 2023

4. Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Act (Amendment) Bill 2023

5. Central Bank of Nigeria Act (Amendment) Bill 2023.

The legislator promised to continue to bring his experience to bear in the strengthening of public institutions, attracting development to the grassroots and empowering his constituents.

*REP. WALE RAJI HANDS OVER A BLOCK OF CLASSROOMS AT U.P.E PRIMARY SCHOOL IMOKUN*

In furtherance of his commitment to education development, the Chairman House Committee of Sustainable Development Goals and legislator representing Epe Federal Constituency, Rep. Wale Raji yesterday handed over a block of 3 classrooms with furniture to the Chairman of Eredo LCDA, community leaders and management of UPE Primary School Imokun.

Rep. Wale Raji who was represented by his Senior Legislative Aide on Politics, Mr Seriki Stephen Omobowale said he yielded to a call from the community leaders and God gave him the opportunity to address the need. He urged the school management and community leaders to take ownership of the building. He restated his commitment to educational and overall development of Epe Federal Constituency through different projects and initiatives that will have a direct bearing on the lives of the people and communities.

The Chairman of Eredo Local Council Development Area, Hon. Monsuru Akinloye expressed his sincere appreciation to Rep. Wale Raji for the numerous projects he has attracted to Eredo LCDA and other parts of Epe Federal Constituency. He said the legislator has set an unprecedented pace of impact that will forever be appreciated by all development loving residents. On sighting the dilapidated dining area of the school, the chairman quickly called on his team to reconstruct a befitting dining hall for the school.

Mrs Oladunjoye Stella, member of Eredo APC Apex and Wale Raji Think Tank Committee said Rep. Wale Raji has distinguished himself in the service of the people especially in the area of education. She urged other public officers to also learn from the legislator and rededicate themselves in meeting the yearnings of their people.

Speaking on behalf of the school and community, Mr Akano (Headmistress) and Alhaja Olufowobi thanked Rep. Wale Raji for providing the building which will provide more space for pupils who hitherto were merged in classes. They promised to take ownership of the project and protect it. They however requested for fencing of the school which they say is usually invaded by miscreants after school hours due to the absence of fence.

In his closing remarks, the Education Secretary of Epe LGEA, Otunba Sh*ttu Aliu thanked Rep. Wale Raji for his consistent dedication to Education development in Epe Federal Constituency and urged him not to relent.

The symbolic commissioning of the project and official handing over of keys was done by the Apex Leader of APC in Epe Constituency 11 and Former Member, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Odeyemi Wasiu Tolani (WASTAB) who also showered encomium on the legislator.
