*Cc Iraye-Oke Community* Yesterday 17th October, 2023 Rep Tasir Olawale Raji (MHR) Epe Federal Constituency moved a *MOTION ON THE URGENT NEED TO RESTRAIN THE NIGERIAN ARMY EPE BARRACKS FROM ACTS OF INTIMIDATION, ASSAULTS AND TRESPASS OVER 329.588 HECTARES OF LAND BELONGING TO LENUWA ROYAL FAMILY AT IRAYE-OKE WITHOUT ANY LAWFUL REASON OR LEGAL INSTRUMENT OF ACQUISITION PENDING THE DETERMINATION OF THE PETITION BEFORE THE HOUSE.* Rep. Wale Raji in his submission highlighted the fact that if nothing is done to restrain the Nigerian Army from acts of intimidation, harassment and acquisition of Iraye-Oke communal land pending the resolution of the petition before the House, the people may suffer irreparable damages. He went further to canvass that the land in question constitute the livelihood of the Iraye-Oke people and must be preserved. Lastly, he informed the House that the recent act of aggression by the Nigerian Army has made both the people and the customary tenants flew the land. He urged the House to resolves thus: 1. To restrain the Nigerian Army, Epe Barracks through the Chief of Army Staff from further acts of harassment, intimidation and acquisition of Iraye-Oke communal land pending the resolution of the dispute by the Committee on Public Petitions. 2. To mandate the House Committees on Army and Legislative Compliance to monitor compliance and report progress to the House during the pendency of the hearing. *REP. WALE RAJI'S ELDERS WELFARE SCHEME "ITOJU AWON AGBA" BENEFICIARIES GETS JULY 2023 MONTH STIPEND* Over 140 Beneficiaries of Rep. Wale Raji's Elders' Welfare Scheme tagged "Itoju Awon Agba" have received their monthly 10,000 stipend across Epe Federal Constituency for the month of July 2023. Otunba Wale Olusesi, Senior Legislative Aide to Rep. Wale Raji on Special Duties and Projects who led the delegation for the disbursement said feedback from beneficiaries have shown that the stipend helps them meet part of their medical and other basic welfare needs He said the scheme which is now running into it's 3rd year remains one of the signature projects of Rep. *BENEFICIARIES OF REP. WALE RAJI'S MONTHLY ELDERS WELFARE SCHEME "OWO ARUGBO" GET MAY 2023 STIPEND* 150 beneficiaries of Rep. Wale Raji's Elders Welfare Scheme tagged "Owo Arugbo" in different parts of Epe Federal Constituency have so far received their monthly 10,000 stipend for the month of May 2023. Speaking after completion of the monthly exercise yesterday in Epe, Senior Legislative Aide to Rep. Wale Raji on Projects and Special duties, Otunba Wale Olusesi said the disbursement which started on Wednesday 31st May has now been completed. He said the disbursement which is usually done directly to the beneficiaries individually is a means to also check up on their welfare. He said the "Elders Welfare Scheme" is one of the legislator's numerous projects that touches directly on the lives of the people hence he personally ensures prompt delivery to the beneficiaries. He said the genuine and heartfelt prayers of the beneficiaries are testament of the impact of the project. The beneficiaries who are spread across all wards of Epe Federal Constituency have continued to shower encomium and prayers on the legislator for sustaining the project which is now running into it's 3rd year. The soon to be commissioned Primary Healthcare Centre in Iraye, Eredo LCDA that was facilitated by Rep. Wale Raji is not just going to meet the healthcare needs of the people of Iraye and environs, it is going to meet the water needs of residents. *REP. WALE RAJI DISBURSE 3 MONTHS BACKLOG TO BENEFICIARIES OF HIS MONTHLY ELDERS WELFARE SCHEME* Officials from the Office of Rep. Wale Raji yesterday, Friday 14th April 2023, started the disbursement of 4.2 million naira to 140 beneficiaries of Rep. Wale Raji's Elders Welfare Scheme tagged "Owo Arugbo" in different parts of Epe Federal Constituency. Senior Legislative Aide to Rep. Wale Raji on General Administration, Mr Bashiru Hassan said the figure represents a backlog of 10,000 each for all the 140 beneficiaries for the months of January, February and March 2023 which were not paid due to the cash crunch occasioned by the CBN's Cashless Policy. He said the disbursement will be done from door to door of the beneficiaries till the last beneficiary is reached. He thanked the beneficiaries for their understanding and perseverance throughout the period. He appreciated their continuous prayer and support throughout the electioneering period.
